Whooa! I have the same experience as you guys. I read a shounen ai manga long time ago. The first page is ok... the second page, I got confused... after that, my eyes rolling... then, I felt queasy... when I saw the main characters kissing each other on the last page, I really did throw up! Since then I swore that I will never ever touch a shounen ai ever again. I wonder what will happen if I try to read Yaoi?

He was an 12 year old kid who said it not me he thinks that it lacks plot and he thinks its almost hentai. Im 15 and I read seinen just for that reason that you have listed.

but i don't like those ecchi shounens that aren't even funny, they just reuse the same non funny jokes over and over expecting us to laugh every time 🤢

I think god was playing a trick on me when he showed me Yaoi (I first read shounen-AI, Better known as gravitation 😀 ) Im reading, and reading... Hey, this story is pretty good... OMG WHAT ARE THOSE 12 YEARS OLDS DOING TO EACH OTHER!... HOLY SH*T! THEY ARE BOTH MALES! OMG MY EYES! IT!!! CANT!!! BE!!! UNSEEN!!!!

And like everyone else (or the majority) i think some shounen is ok, while others leave me baffled as to how people could read it (of course, i still read it, only because im a perfectionist)

The difference is the extremity of the story and images.

Examples

Shounen Ai : Shows the main characters kissing and touching, but nothing further. Or, it just insinuates 2 guys in love.

Yaoi: Shows the 2 guys fu*king, Including naked images, man-rape, and things like that.

Somewhat, but I don't find shōjo better either.
The stuff that shōnen contains just doesn't attract me that much.

I like shounen the most of all the genres. That's because I like the whole must kill the bad guy or he'll destroy the world thing. I know it's rather cliche, but whatever, I like good guys vs. bad guys and a happy ending.

I have a right mind to punch you in the face. Clearly you're into Seinen just for the gore and sex. That's not what Seinen is all about, and if you read a lot more, you'd understand. Seinen manga is manga more mature than Shonen or Shojo, but that doesn't mean it has to have relentless blood or fucking to make it Seinen.
Take a look at Harukana Machi-E, it's a realistic drama about a middle-aged man who travels back in time to his teenage years, but does not rely on the gore/nudity one bit throughout the book. Gantz and Berserk are examples of manga that are labelled Seinen, but act more like normal Shonen manga without a touch more violence to pull in the idiots.
