For me, the lead guy in Ichigo 100% is the worst. He's got like 4 insanely hot girls BEGGING FOR IT. They lock him in rooms, trap him under furniture, beg and plead and come flat tell him that they want to sleep with him. His reaction is always to run off.
Around the middle of the manga I really hated him. Had he been sleeping around, he'd have been a player and that would have been "wrong", but hey he's just being a guy. Not sleeping with them seemed meaner because he led all of them on so much and then rejected them all when they opened themselves up to him (pun intended) and were insanely vulnerable.

I mean, he's annoying, retarded, and doesn't think ahead, but wussy is the last thing he is. If he was a wussy, then the manga would just be him at home eating his ramen while cowering in a corner hoping that he doesn't have to go on any missions.
Now as for me, I second anyone who said all harem main leads. Even if they do get their manly chapter moment, it gets forgotten as quickly as it came unless the girl that he wants remembers about it just to move the plot along.

i'd have to say ippo from hajime no ippo whenever he is outside the ring. he's always scared shitless over everydamn thing that happens. Makes me want to rip off his arms and beat him to death with the bloody ends.
