I'm looking for a manga (hopefully one that has an anime or drama) that has a sweet romance but,
the guy doesn't have a normal human head/face.
Like a guy with an animal skull for a head in Mahoutsukai no yome
or like a guy with no head at all in Boukyaku no shirushi to hime

Even characters that don't look human at all are fine.
As long as there's a sweet affectionate romance in it.

You might like Hotarubi no Mori e, where the guy wears a mask and is a sort of spirit. (There is another masked guy story I know of, Issho ni Neyou yo but the guy is human.)

The webtoon The Sock Monster has a romance between a girl and a humanoid cat.

I haven't read it yet, but Odette is a romance between a girl and a man with a cat's head. (I'm not sure if it's a metaphor or not.)

Hotarubi no Mori e has an anime movie, but none of the others have any kind of anime/drama that I know of.

Kanojo ni Awaseru Kao ga Nai - It's about a guy whose mom dies giving birth to him so he's half ghost. So he's basically missing his head. He's in love with his childhood tomboy friend.

Koe Koi? The guy has normal head and face but he's hiding them under paper bag all the time. This one has a drama adaptation.

Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai., but the abnormal head is only something the female lead sees.

first thing that comes to mind is Angel Densetsu although the romance is more of a sub plot, but theres no denying that its an affectionate romance
