Personally, I like Claymore and FLCL for their plots, but their art styles are quite annoying at times. FLCL is extremely sketchy, and the reason for the awkward style of Claymore is above.

I dunno what I'd nominate for the worst, but I'll edit this post when I figure it out.

What I have so far:
Bizenghast (I was so depressed when I read this and found the art pretty bad... The ads in other Tokyopop manga were very interesting, but the actual series had a very sketchy, asymmetric feel that put me off of it.)

Honestly, I really dislike most of the art done by non-Japanese "manga"-ka. It seems like the style they're going for is very forced and unnatural, so it makes it difficult to read. Plus, I've noticed that the scenery is not even close to being as intricate as the backgrounds in Japanese manga.

I wasnt trying to attack anyone. I just want to know why people dont like the art styles.

I think I was mostly confused because your first post didn't really give a reason for why you didn't like the art of FLCL, and when I noted how terse the "And why not?" question was, I started making assumptions. ^^; My bad.

Yeah, I HATED the art in that one. Berserk has awesome art, even if it has aged a bit.

I think the only one I've ever bailed out of simply because of the art is Five. It's all a matter of taste, really--I liked The Demon Ororon.

I couldn't stand Airmaster's art. It was just so ugly, especially the short teenager that looked like a middle-aged man. Oh, and one of the characters has such a huge chest. People think that Orihime's chest is unpractical (including me) would be blown away by Airmaster. Combine Orihime's and Matsumoto's chests and that's what you have in Airmaster. Grr, I got so angry looking at that manga's art that I wanted to punch someone afterwards.
