Have you read past volume 2?

Sure, the first 2 volumes didn't look all that great, but the art improves drastically over the next few volumes. Volumes 13 & 14 of Berserk are probably the two best drawn volumes I have ever read.

Personally, I love the art in Berserk. I could see it being (no disrespect intended) a bit too intense for some folks. Kinda like pickles.

how far did you actually make it to say "the story sucks" and not liking art because the story is bad is a stupid reason to think art is bad
