Okay this is just for fun cause I just got into a debate with a friend on who would win in a fight: Superman or Goku (Super Saiyan 4).

Conditions are that both are not allowed to destroy the Earth or bring other outer world objects into the fight (Kryptonite included).

I say Goku would win since in SS4 Goku could basically fart and destroy the world. Pretty sure Superman can't do that. But since Superman's strength is so inconsistent (supposedly he can move faster than the speed of light) its just frustrating to reach any kind of conclusive conclusion.

Any thoughts guys?

wow this is a tough one

superman can travel at the speed of light but Goku can use instant transmission to appear from behind.
supermans laser vision is no match for Gokus Kamehameha.
they are both incredibly strong
but overall i think Goku would win because he has more techniques.
superman is incredibally strong. i'll admit most likely stronger than goku.
(i think one time superman had to move the earth with his strength)
but I think Goku could find a weak spot and take down superman
for example he could teleport superman to the bottom of the ocean.

Super man has freeze breath.. I think superman, he would find a way to outsmart Goku. If hes better at Goku in anything it would be smarts.

i think goku would beet the crap out of superman but eventually superman would win cuz goku has limited energy and all superman has to do is stand in the sun to recharge and most important of all without kryptonite superman is indestructible and gokus not

That wouldn't matter. Technically superman wouldn't die in an explosion, so that has no effect.

I would say superman. He's basically indestructable and could withstand Goku's attacks, and if you can't bring his only weakness kryptonite into the equation...

if it was a "standard" fight. Goku would win obviously. Superman is a flying brick, not a fighter. In a deathmatch, it would be close but Superman would win that And just for the record, you can indeed hurt superman without using kryptonite. You just need to have enough juice to destroy a star system by merely breathing. Oh wait....

Well I can't tell who would win in those conditions, however as long as goku gets supes away from yellow sun radiation wouldn't superman be useless and automatically lose?
(also on an unrelated note Barry Allen would be a much better choice in fighting)

On the other hand as said only Goku has been shown as a mortal. Of course superman can die due to Kryptonite and the only other time was in front of Doomsday ( Sadly they wanted to milk more and brought him back ).

Despite all the discussion this could have Superman will never beat Goku if you stop and think it seriously. I doesn't even have to be in ss4 form to do that. Superman and Goku can sustain heavy damage and Superman can recover if exposed to sun light, but Goku has the power to destroy Earth since ss1. Let's think that Superman survived when the Earth was destroyed but the full kamehameha in ss1-2 could seriously hurt Superman and Goku could keep attacking and destroy Superman. The ss4 form has enough power to destroy a good part of the universe including the sun, several stars and a good number of black holes. Superman could be strong but he can beat that.

Their strengths cant be pitted against each other because they are both have that whole "never give up" endurance forever thing going for them
however Superman has a the significant weakness of both kryptonite and that whole sun reliability last time I checked goku didn't really have any real weakness

My bad I didn't read the rules but still even without kryptonite goku still wins reason being that superman isn't all that great he is only special because he is the last kryptonian alive. I am sure that hypothetically if other kryptonians came to fight Superman they could beat the shit out of him. Goku reached the pinnacle of his race through training and he is the strongest saiyan
