It was announced last night, and im going crazy. I just got pokemon SS and I only have about a year to play it?? Sigh~ But anyhoo new region new starters and probably the same ol' business. So what do you guys expect?

In the end I'll probably get neither since I don't have the proper gaming system since I haven't played Pokemon in years. It's amazing that Pokemon games are still going strong, I remember being so excited when Pokemon Red and Blue came out and than Yellow ... 🤣

Really? Announced right after HG/SS too. I won't buy either (I don't have a DS and if they come out with a new system I won't get that, and I don't have time), but I'll probably go to my friend's house to play.

Where are the options "neither" and "both"? If I bought either, I'd buy both. I don't think I'll buy them. First generation was great (Yellow was a flop as pokemon, but a playable game), second was also good, the first generation remakes were good too. Besides those, they just become worse and worse. As a game they're pretty good, as Pokémon they suck.

Nevertheless, I'm sure someone I know gets them, so I'm going to be playing them anyways.

In all honesty I don't know anything about the DP pokemon. I stopped bothering with the new stuff after Emerald.

I was wondering what they were going to call the new games though, as they were running out of the jewel names, so they went back to plain colours... Fair enough I guess.

I probably wont get it though. I don't even have a DS. I'm only playing HG at the moment because my friend lent me his spare DS xD

I don't have a DS but even if I did, I'd get the combined version (gray?) that comes out about a year later, I've only played until the second generation of pokémon anyways (crystal), the mons all started to look repetitive and like pop art shortly after (especially the diamond/pearl legendaries).

Don't have a DS, and I mostly lost interest after second generation. I did play some of the third generation and the remakes of the originals, but it just kinda got old
