Hmm though it would be nice to buy some, I don't want to waste my precious and scarce money on something that I can dl online... But maybe I'll buy some when I get more money/better part time job... Having constantly stare at the computer screen is tiring after all, you see.

I blow all of my money at Books-A-Million every other month buying manga. I don't wanna counts how many volumes I have. Rough guess is about 60...
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

wait, do most libraries actually have manga? I never even considered that. Are they in some hidden section or what?

It's called "Borders" and you usually see cheapos (well, thats what i think) at the manga section reading all the mangas.

Borders isn't a library! -.- Well I guess it can be but you're technically supposed to buy the books. I love how you call them cheapos...LoL 😀

TheRedSpade, it depends on the library and what kind of area you're in. The public library near me has some manga, but it's not much of a selection...They mostly have old series and random volumes of things.
Of course, it could be different for the library near you. Some of course have none at all, while others try to get a hold of the latest stuff.

If libraries had manga sections with tons of manga with coplete series there would be people camping out there. I know I would pack up and move out right away.
"To the library Robin", said Batman.
"What are we gonna do there Batman?" asked Robin naively.
"Are you an idiot Robin? Of course we're going there to read the latest volume of Sekirei, those strip fights are way more awesome than any fights we've ever been in, Don't you feel the same Robin?"
"Ano, I mean um B-batman? Do you think they have any yaoi?" asked Robin shyly.
"What's that some kind of food?" asked batman unknowingly.
"U-um not exactly. You see it's--"
"Tell me when we get there. We'd better hurry now Robin, there's bound to be a long line. Luckily for us it open's the doors in five minutes that gives us just enough time if we use that."
"What?"
"The batmobile of course baka. To the batmobile Robin."
Join us next time as Batman and his trusty sidekick arrive at the library and the hilarity that ensues as they fight their way to the holy grail of manga.
I realize after writing the above how badly in need of a girlfriend I am. Geez.

My local not-so-big library has got a decent selection of manga mixed-in with the young adult and the comics sections. As I recall... all of Dragonball (not Z), old copies of Battle Angel Alita, Big O, most of Love Hina, and some random Pokemon comics. The library is a great (not fantastic) resource for manga, especially if there is an online system to send volumes across the state to you, I'm reading Trigun Maximum this way.

I buy my manga and the novels released by Tokyopop like Crest of the stars, Twelve Kingdoms and .hack another birth that aren't fan translated. I usually read a series first online then buy the volumes if I like it enough to spend money on it, but sometimes I'd pick up a series if it looks interesting while im browsing the store.
