Definitely sounds like Suzumiya Haruhi. Easiest description for it.
But the manga for Haruhi isn't so good in my opinion, I'd recommend the original novels or the anime.

How about The Twelve Kingdoms (anime and/or light novels, novels are way better so watch the anime first - it's good on its own but pales in comparison)
Also, I faintly remember this title: Kamisama Kazoku (only watched like half of the anime though - second this, already mentioned)

Qwan -- pretty much what you're looking for. He has no idea he's some sort god/demon-thing, mostly action/serious and doesn't have any romance as far as I recall.

You could try Kubera, through I dont know for certain about the god thing, I think the maincharceter is a god without knowing it, but its still early in the story.
