I agree that censoring porn is ridiculous. It's a stupid, stupid law, that really doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. That said, as long as it's not horribly bad censoring, I don't find it detracts much for me personally. As a result of censoring, Japanese videos tend to focus more on other areas than just on the sex organs. I actually kinda like that aspect, as I find staring at a beautiful girl's body or even her face more engaging than I do the sex areas.
