It's not just the type of relationship you have with a certain relative, but for some its about what the rest of the family might say or think. for some people, cousins hooking up isn't the normal thing.

I believe that as long as they both love each other and dont care what others think then it shouldn't matter if they are related besides trying to stop true love is impossible.

My biggest problem with incest is that it seems so lazy. Rather than put out some decent time and effort to find someone you love outside of the family, you're really just going at it with the person who's closest. Edit: And not only that, family members have a certain amount of emotional pressure they can exert upon each other. The family attachments really mess with people mentally and emotionally, in ways that mean most incestuous relationships are very damaging.
It also doesn't seem particularly appealing to me, but that has nothing to do with others feelings for their relatives.

ugh. Incest in manga is icky. But my big brother has this super duperly hot friend I had a crush on in seventh grade, and just a couple months ago I found out we were distant cousins! Like, 8th cousins or something. It was really awkward, I refuse to sit on the same couch on him now.
