People should remember that
the mascot should be relatively simple
so that it can be produced efficiently
without sacrificing the quality.

Started As
Dirty looking cow I drew on a napkin. I have never been very good at cartooning so I had a hell of a time in Illustrator getting it to look right. Finally decided to add texture and put color manga clips as spots. I wanted it to have a very different look and show a connection to the subject.

How It Represents Manga Updates
Muu the manga cow loves manga so much that it appears on his body! He is made of paper and tons of different manga clips. He may look unassuming but if you aren't careful he will eat your favorite series! He has a face of patience as he waits for the next update on MU.

Every spot has a different manga, fun for a game of recognition!

Why it represents Mu:
Hair/Parts of clothes: blue for the layout
Cow ears and tail: muu 😀
Red eyes, tail, and stick: Face it XD We're all little devils.
Gender: Unknown. I think it's better that the mascot doesn't have a specified gender.
Pirate clothes: COUGH. =) In chibi form, notifying it's not in its full-fledged form.
Kebab: (food 😀 <3) Green circly thing(World); Brown biscuit thing(manga) Basically, "The world of manga is like food in our hands"

I like it. Looks like a cross breed between a pikachu and Beck from Beck. Kind of reminds me of Matamune from Shaman King somehow. Though I do think it could do without the forked tongue.

Cute, clean, unique and vicious. Just what I'd look for in a mascot for MU. I'd vote for it.

Edit: Most people will probably just end up calling it Mu because of the label on its head. To give it a bit more character though, I'd suggest giving it one of your little brother's name and make note of it in the description.

The thought of being banished to the 18+ section due to his violent, hard drinking, and lecherous attitude. Is there no room for a anime/manga site to be represented by a character who's all man? 😢
