I will write two very good statements:
Truth, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder
There are as many truths as there are people

Just leave the lyrical trash out of it
and say that there is no truth. 🙂

But "subjective truth" is still different from "no truth"... I think.

Then this is the truth as well: There is no truth.
It is true, thus there's no truth.
It is a paradox.

But there is truth, just not an objective, absolute truth. So depending on the person, there can be different truths, unless they're deliberately lying.

I know, just explaining it to Mammy~ He's still on his winter mode... I think. Well, he's just a nihilist. 🙂
"truth" is something ideal, and talking strictly truth is absolute truth (if something has to be true it has to be true always), of course it doesn´t apply at all in reality just the same as other concepts as "justice", "morality" "virtue", etc. Philosophically, we don´t expect absolute truth anymore, instead we expect "truth" to be something that has solid evidence to back it up ("solid evidence" as something every human should recognize as evident). But from this to say "truth is relative to the individual" is wrong, mainly because that would make "communication" to lost its sense (if everybody says what is "true" for them there would be multiple "true" statesment about the same thing, all of them "true" subjectively).
And about exceptions, of course there are, nothing in the human world is that perfect that wouldn´t acept exceptions.

I think it's ok to lie sometimes. Life has way too many factors to guide with an absolute truth, there will always situations when you should lie. If a gang of thugs knock at my door looking for someone, and I know this person is going to get hurt, and this person doesn't desrve it, I ain't saying sh*t, or I'll lie to veer them off course. Doesn't just have to thugs, could be situations like the Holocaust and the Jews, or the Tutsis and Rwanda. If someone ALWAYS told the truth, should they run into situations like that, they would do much more damage then a lie.

I try to remain silent as well, when it's necessary.
I believe telling a little white lie may not cost you,
but it's not exactly justified. It all varies.
In my experiences though, I prefer to be brutally honest
because usually telling lies/exaggerated truth is a boomerang.
It all comes back to hit you eventually.
