Election Day

I'm in Australia but if I had a vote it would be for Obama. The Republicans are the reason so many people around the world hate America right now and if another got voted in that opinion wont change for at least another four years.

He took a needle full of cocaine and shot it in his prick
They say he got the gangrene the pain it wouldn't stop
And when he took a hot bath that night his pecker floated to the top

I couldn't really give damn, I don't see why others in my country do...
Well somebody has to vote the government in, even if it maybe be the minority.
But I've heard several people that vote say, "If you don't vote, you can't complain," when they vote. (I'm sure there are people that don't vote that complain about issues that they had control of who is in power though.)
Sorry, I should've stated that I live in Ireland, but people here are still interested as hell...
i don't live in US, too but i do care about elections because it is important for my country who is gonna win.. i wouldn't want McCain to win because that would mean war 😔

Stupid Paddy... 😔
The actions of the most powerful man in the world effect everyone... Especially for a country like Ireland whose economy is quite dependant on American markets. That is why I am hoping for the person I see as more capable winning... take a guess who that is 😀

(Notices her mistake for "maybe" which was supose to be "may be" now. >:-( 😳 )
But I did look at your profile and find out you're in Ireland, but I still replied about the same way.
I'm not sure if many countries get high voter turn out other than the ones that make it mandatory such as Australia (and I don't know what other ones) and ones where it's barely a right, such as India, I think.
My country's election did not have a good turn out according to the news and it has been get worse every time for several elections. It could have been that the voters didn't feel motivated to vote because who won was who they expected to win, and "voter apathy" which would include people that don't care, or care but don't really see anyone they want to vote for, but where statics people don't know where they stand.

Well in truth, if there's watching a country such as the USA which isn't local, that's watching for business and economic reasons. But what can a person in Ireland since that person in Ireland isn't voting?
I was thinking Highway-STAR just didn't care about his government. I find that a bit sad since the people in power could rob him through taxes and then he would have to wait until the next election to take action, legally, at least. (This is more of a guess though, since I don't know Irish politics except that that country is divided in their thinking.)

Uh, goddamn recession...
Who is it you're rooting for? I honestly have no idea what Obama/McCain's plans are for the world, I'm "politically ignorant".

My guess is that he doesn't want McCain because of Palin, and the latest poll for the news, that was done about a week ago, puts Obama ahead by 9%. They said it would be hard for McCain to make up for that difference. (This info is probably due a bit to the local news and my mom leaving the TV on CNN even when she's not quite paying attention.)

Good guess... I have to say it frankly scares me that she might have the little red button under her control if that 72 year old cancer survivor ever croaks. Also McCain just seems quite inconsistent (old age?) in his speeches about policy.
tbh I see little difference between Rep/Dem. If US was proportional representation (and I was actually American) my first pref would be Nader, but since it ain't that is just a waste of a vote =P

I do not support the policies of the obama camp. The polls shows he shall win.
Also, all of the advertising was very annoying. Both parties could've chosen better candidates.
This.
I hope to insert religious being and/or whomever you take great faith in that Obama doesn't get elected. Though in actuality, McCain is no better.
Bob Barr for President?

sry. correction.
democratic congress + democratic president = communism.
basing political and economic policies off of ideals and not reality is the biggest mistake anyone can ever make.
edit:

you being poor isnt the country's fault

I disagree.
The current congress could have done more in their last term than they did. And their approval rating is lower than Bush's.

Well I like Obama for most of his proposals (most as to I don't like some)
I like McCain for some of his proposals (some and not most) BUT, I would have voted for McCain (If I wanted to vote) because he "was" the best likely to live to my expectations (not many) But after Palin... well I decided he didn't deserve my vote -_-
For me the issue of Experience was the only thing keeping me away of Obama, and then he pulls an "out of space" move and decided a woman like Palin had enough experience -_-
I don't know what you think, but the VP is extremely important, maybe more important than the President seat... why? Lets say we are in a crisis and Obama is killed and the future of our nation is at risk, I don't know you, but I can trust a guy like Biden, he talks a little too much, but he knows what he is doing (and he is not delusional)
Lets say McCain has a heart attack and dies... 😐 NO THANKS
wtf is with people and sarah palin hate. she doesnt come off as the brightest person, but she has more political experience than obama.
not only that but with the democratic swing we are in, when the next election rolls around we are already going to be a bunch of communists...
Then, try being a communist and perhaps you will learn a thing or two.

really? like what?
how implausible lofty ideals are in the harsh face of reality?
how do murder and suppress my countries own population?
why MY wealth and MY hard work should be redistributed to poor?
the communism experiment has been done. It failed economically. It failed militarily. It failed morally. Time to move on.
