Nope, most of the anime and manga fans I know already knew about it, so no converting was done. Exchanging anime was good.

As for converting techs, dunno, here pretty much everybody has seen at least one or two anime series, so that would help in the job 🤣

I'm not fond of knowing RL friends who are more addictive to me. So nah... because if i show them something and they like it.. they'll talk about it 24/7 when I was the one who showed it to them in the first place.

I have successfully converted 4 people into manga-readers / anime-watchers. ^_^ it's pretty easy. you just go based on what types of books & movies they like and then lend them a volume of a manga in the same category. I have a friend who likes guy-guy pairings, so I bought her a volume of Loveless. I got another friend who likes romantic comedies to watch Ouran High School Host Club. & etc.

I tried to a while ago on two separate occasions, but it didn't really work out like I had planned. My friend was bit familiar with anime but only watched a couple of old series a very long time ago (meaning in elementary). I got my friend to try watching some anime that were current at the time. My friend only took interest in two series and hasn't watch anime since.
