Out of all the nifty gadgets showcased throughout the manga, there wasn't a single equivalent of a DNA test kit present... Curious... For a Takada Rie fan, I was really reading this only for the funky rodents...

A Great Page Turner!

I thoroughly enjoyed this manga, it's the type that I can read over and over again. I liked both the main male and female characters as they both were not your typical shoujo characters. Jealousy is normal and I'm sure some is to be found in any relationship. The only thing I did not like was the rushed ending. Overall, it was a great manga and I like this one better than her later works. It's definitely a page turner! Takada's problem with most of her manga is making her main female characters average looking at best and making the guys insanely gorgeous! Although, most shoujo's do tend to have this problem as well. I feel like it's alright sometimes; however from a realistic standpoint, a gorgeous guy and a average girl are not the only types of couples out there.

I think it's good

I like the the two leads. I like how Yuniko is not weak, but not a brash either. She is your 'strong, confident, but cute and silly' type. Not to mention she has a good body (something almost EVERY shoujo female lead lacks), or at least considered so in the manga. And I like how Ryu is just 'boys'. Sometimes he is a pervert, a pushover, acts silly, but still like to act cool (and he's hot). He is not your Mr. Perfect, even though he is a bit too understanding, not your 'cold' or a teaser that would actually make a 'real' relationship awkward for me.
I like the pair. I like how none of them are such a shy or reluctant when it comes to 'lovey-dovey' moments. They want to be spoiled by and spoil each other. And they actually say things like 'darling', 'honey', or 'baby' (or is it only the translation?).
The plot is good, it keeps going, not only filled by 2-3 chapter arcs. Some commentators below me said Yuniko is annoying and selfish, but I'm not completely agree.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Okay, so she almost sleep with Maki but after she broke up with Ryu. Not really cheating. But it does annoy me, thank god it happens only for less than a volume. And I can understand Yuniko's acts when Ryu decides to go to Hollywood. I mean, it happened so suddenly, Ryu had never talked about it, and it was the first time he heard about it too. He agreed immediately, without even took a glimpse at Yuniko, like she didn't even matter. Of course she would feel insecure. Yeah, he did it because he believed that Yuniko would understand, but that's not how you run a relationship.

But you'll actually see that they put each other and their relationship above anything else, and they will do anything for each other. Overall I like it better than Heart and H3 School.

Plot was amazing, kept me reading all the way through. It has a different flavor to it and Yuniko is not your typical gal. I`m starting to like Takada Rie. XD Must read. Very underated manga if you ask me.

there's only 1 thing i hate so much in shoujo mangas, like ryu does everything for the dumb little *****, and she goes n spend the night with maki (i dont care if they didnt sleep or watever, cuz she did want it but couldnt) i wud beat the crap out of her so much, if i were him, cuz his risk his carrer all the time to help her n thats wut he got when he thinks about himself for once? so much anger that i dont want to read this anymore. y all shoujos are like that?

It was a pretty good manga and I liked it alot, I could guess what was going to happen most of the time because I've read stories like this one before. The only thing that made me really mad was that the WHOLE time they could have gone to get a blood test to see if they were related the entire time! Also the one thing I really like was her theif costume (the 2nd one when shes in HS) I thought that was really cute! ♥

I enjoyed reading this manga. The heroine wasn't too annoying. Although I hated the part
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
when she left Ryu to be with Maki for a short time and they were about to have sex. That just made me mad at Yuniko for her lack of sense. At least they didn't go all the way so I am not as mad as I would have been if she did (but they we cutting it close). Oh yeah and Goldie was just plain insane.
Not bad as a whole.

I finally continued reading it again coz I've had it on-hold for more a couple of years if not one...I think.
I got to volume 5 just awhile ago...and /sigh. It got so tiring so I skipped it and read volume 10.

I wanna facepalm. /facepalms. (lawl)
It took 6 volumes (over 30 chapters) for the truth to come out? Well...DAMN. o_O
So I don't know whether I want to go back to the fifth volume and finish it properly.
Maybe I'll wait for a few months or a year...I don't know.
But don't get me wrong...I love Takada-sensei...this work just seems...slow on the story-development. TOO SLOW; and comes the last volume, that's where you rush it. /sigh.

... because you won't be needing them.

It's high octane action bordering on the slightly OTT but delivered in such a self-knowing and good-humoured way you can't help but be swept along for the ride. Sure there are flaws and I agree with some of the posters below but I highly recommend this manga because it checked certain boxes for me;

(1) non-snivelling heroine who knows martial arts
(2) a shoujo hero that is definitely one of the better characterised ones out there with more realistic flaws
(3) a plot with plenty of twists (though I did guess where this was going after the third volume)
(4) VERY VERY FUNNY and never a dull moment

One of the best shoujo romance mangas out there and highly under-appreciated.

i finished this manga in three days i could have finished it in only one day i couldn't because
both of the main chracters were STUPID !! they only needed to go to a hosital give some blood and made an DNA test and the whole manga wouldn't be this much long, i'm not sayin that i didn't like it. i like it but were some things that i didn't like for example they were too jealous of each other i really didn't like it. but over all not bad actually good :D
