| Manga Review: World Embryo by Sylthfarn on August 28th, 2009, 9:54pm |

“will a lie kept throughout one’s lifetime eventually become the truth?” World Embryo is a manga shrouded with darkness of death, betrayal, and lies. The story revolves around the typical Japanese topic of death and lost. With the main character having lost his most beloved one, which he fails to accept, the story goes on with the main character trying to regain the person whom he loves most and getting mixed up in a world, which is outside of ordinary people’s memories. Meeting with people whom also lost something precious to them, working to regain what they’ve lost, they begin to reveal what had really happened two years ago, which had led to their losses…

| The long pause... by das630 on April 6th, 2009, 1:41pm |

This series flows like the tide, having high points and low as well... I've read up to ch 42 and found three strong points the beginning, around ch 15 and then a longer pause till around ch 40. If you can stick with it you'll like the character developments and plot quirks that develop through the story.
P.S. this isn't to say that the story doesn't progress it keeps moving. I found those 3 times to be my favorites.

| This is one great manga that I ever read. It's true when I first read it, I fell bored but after a few much chapter you can find a good development against all the character. Hope it doesn't have sad ending like Chrno Crusade. But in overall this is one best manga. |

I really think this manga is one of the best I've ever read. Very dark and violent, but with lots of character development,
I think Riku is a very interesting main character, he's untraditional in many ways. I love how you never really know what he's thinking, and that kinda makes him more convincing.
The art is just amazing, Just plain amazing, of all mangaka i think he makes the best art. (Exept that he has no knowlege of the female anatomy -.-)
Anyway, this the one is a must read for everyone, it's just awesome.

The first 15-20 chapters or so are amazing, but after that the storyline seems to lose something. I can't specify exactly what...but...something.
Now then, art is top notch, and the fighting is very easy to understand. However I can't say whoever liked Chrno Crusade will like this. The lack of a developing relationship and romance will throw off Chrno fans at one point. For me, that point was as previously stated around chapter 20.
So...overall, I'd have to say this is a manga everyone should definitely START reading, however I doubt many people will read it all the way through. |

| For those who liked Chrno Crusade by danobou on June 6th, 2008, 8:53am |

I was browsing OneManga.com and I noticed that they had World Embryo and so I decided to read it. I was actually quite impressed with what I was reading. The art is pretty much the same as Chrno Crusades. In other words, the art looks nice. The plot is original, and this manga has plenty of action to please the eye. I am sure that who ever likes Chrno Crusade, will like this as well.
WARNING: This manga contains Graphic Violence, Brief Nudity, Fanservice, and Strong Language. |

Well, not really. The story is quite interesting, albeit a little too mysterious and slow at times. However, Moriyama has that enviable ability to make anything shine, mainly due to really good artwork.
I liked Chrno Crusade much more though. It was the main characters, I think. Rosette and Chrno made a far more dynamic pair, contrasting each other easily and naturally. In World Embryo, the two mains are similar yet different, to the degree that it gets on my nerves. They should've just kept _that guy_, jeez. Oh, and the fanservice/pantyshots have increased by a large amount in WorldEm, which is alright, because at least it looks fine and doesn't seem out of the way.

| Love it! by carlemb on April 14th, 2008, 2:17am |

I am a major fan of Chrno Crusade (Daisuki Moriyama's first series), and so of course I had to read this. To get straight to the point, it is an awesome series. It has very nice (occasionally cute) artwork, which almost never looks bad, well designed characters and an intriguing plot. What's not to like?
