What the...?

Just a small spoiler about rushed ending and my dissapointment.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It ended to suddenly. Love triangle wasn't even resolved normally. And author said that he ended "safely". This isn't the end. Their couldn't be such serious unresolved matters in the end.

i felt i was a bit rushed and that the author left out a lot of important character development. The characters and art were all great, and the plot was quite interesting but lacking, a little rushed, and felt a little confusing at times. Its a good read though, just leaves you feeling unsatisfied

Though it was confusing, it was one of the manhwas i liked. (note: i seldom like a manhwa).
The rape part is confusing because the author tried to explain everything in few chapters. I mean that BIG ISSUE, it needs more chapters to settle that.
There is also an unfinished business with bin and his family (with the good-for-nothing ah-yeong, i dont remember her name). Also, where did the other jjang go? her brother?
The cutie boy, I knew from the start that there was something about him, and yeah there really was.
"Bin's Story" chapter was funny. LOL. I loved that point of view. Hahahaha. I thought, "so that was what actually happened."

The whole story had a lot of potential, but the ending was axed or something like that. The author rushed it. Oh well, im used to "bad endings" anyway, so i can tolerate it.

Therefore, im giving the WHOLE manhwa credit for making me feel excited for what's going to happen next and for making me feel disappointed about the ending. You see, not all manga/manhwas can make me feel that way. Sometimes, I'm just indifferent or annoyed. That's why I'm going to ignore the details and just look at it as a whole.

So yeah, 9 points for this one. Would give it 10 if it had more chapters to settle some issues or if it had a sequel. LOL.

rape?

there are many of people here that vote the category that said "Rape". I don't think that's true as her brother said that nothing happened because the police showed up! But because people think "trauma" is associated with the rape. But it didn't occur, her trauma was being beaten up by her friend accusing her of seducing her friend's boy friend.

This story was all over the place, disjointed and confusing. It had potential to be good but it just feel flat. I was often left wondering huh wth happened? The ending was so quick. I feel like the author should have fleshed out her ideas much more

Don't let the fact it's a tragedy put you off

If you don't like the tragedy genre, and its putting you off reading this, don't let it.
The pacing in this is good. It means that the plot which contains little real substance can blossom and becoming an entertaining story. The basic premise has been done before, however, the female protagonist, while not being tough, is not a cry baby and is believable. Most of the other characters lack any real personality being one dimensional, but act in reasonably realistic ways. However, Sunwoo Bin's love for Han Hye Won seemed fake; there was almost no development - one minute she was a fake, the next he loved her; too sudden a jump to be taken seriously. The story is enjoyable, well paced and with a non-crybaby female lead. As long as you don't go looking too deeply into it its a good story, albeit with a rushed ending.

Confusing but really deep story

What makes this manhwa wonderful is the ending. At first, I thought this was going to be just one of the typical shoujo kind stories but the the ending made the story worthwhile. I do think there was a lack of focus on what could have made the story more convincing and memorable. But the ending really makes you think beyond what the typical love story is which is rare from all the other shoujo mangas I've read.

Hard to swallow.: the ending and the execution

I dont like this manga. Good idea, executed badly. The ending left me a bitter taste that even scrubbing with a charcoal metal toothbrush wont help. For some this may be a masterpiece, for me it barely worth 5.5

Inconsistant

While I enjoyed the story this manhwa has consistency problems. The story jumps around and does not do a very good job of explaining the trauma that the main character went through. It does not give enough info to really understand the story. We get to know some of the characters but the events are not clear. If I did not know better I would think that there were a lot of missing frames. The ending seems to be ok and the beginning is good but the events leading from beginning to end just do not seem to be there.

Been done better elsewhere

Other authors have done this kind of story better. A lot of the plot twists are obvious. I saw
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Young-Bin-s incestuous crush on Hye-Won a mile away
and a lot of plot twists that might have been entertaining aren't included when they might have been a welcome addition to the story. Lee Nanaah could have crafted the plot with a lot more precision and originality.
Also, none of the relationships besides Hye-Woo and Bin's relationship are allowed to develop beyond attraction. In the end, I could count
Spoiler (highlight to view)
at least four guys being interested in Hye-Won
and yet Lee doesn't give any of the relationships to do anything but add cheap tragedy or drama.
The character are a mixed bunch. I adored both Hye-Won's brother Young-bin, Bin's friend Woo-joo and Hye-Won's intensely loyal, party-loving fashionista friend Soo-Kyung, but a lot of the characters miss out on any kind of develop and stayed the same, cookie-cutter character through out the story (*cough*Si Woo*cough*), and some of them just miss out on any sort of development entirely. I mean, come on Lee. You create a dark haired, bamboo-wielding, ass-kicking bishouen and you don't give him a personality? For shame.
The art is good though. While I might dislike the fashions potrayed (Hye-Won's nightclub outfit, anyone?) and it was a bit gratingly sterotypical shoujo, with abuse of sparkles and flowers abound at times, especially as the chapters progress, the bodies were in propotion, the guys were lip-lickingly hot and, when Hye-Won and Eun Ah-Young were in the club together, I could see that Ah-Young was more beautiful than Hye-Won, instead of it being an informed difference.
If you enjoyed this, I'd suggest Hot Blooded Woman, Hana Yori Dango, or Desire Climax
