Description
"What is the boundary between game and reality?"
The world is in danger. Strange juggernauts called "Angels" have started to appear all around the planet, presenting riddles called "Paradoxes" to whoever happens to be in the near vicinity. Answer right and your land will receive God's blessing. However, if you fail to solve the paradox be prepared to receive divine punishment...
Gamebook fan or not, don't expect too much from this series.
The idea behind this manga is that in a certain point of the story, you (the reader) have to solve a "problem", make a "decision" , "jump" to a certain point of the book and see if you survived the trial or got stuck in a bad ending.
In the early chapters, the author tries to setup the story that way, but soon had to face the fact that there's a limit to how interactive a manga can be, so he just changed idea and turned the story in more manageble "solve the game and compare your solution with the characters' " thing. To sum up, a mystery manga + magical RPG-like items to help the characters to do the impossible.
Aside the "game" side of thing, this series as so many flaws that I don't really know where to begin explaining: - the whole "Angel" thing is an obvious Evangelion rip-off - the characters tend to assume silly heroic poses (you know, when they stay up with the legs spread open like they're about to perform a R&B choreography or something ) just to add a "I'm dah hero here and I'm gonna kick you in dah face and save the WooOOorld!" like atmosphere. That really , REALLY , ticked me off - there's a little bit of romance, but it's just to attract fans of that kind of thing - the second half of the series feels rushed and pushed to the extreme just for the sake of reviving the reader's attention
the art if good and the games are well planned though.
Interesting "scenarios" that they have. There is usually a part with the "puzzle", and the latter half (another chapter) focuses on solving it. Had fun reading and trying to solve the puzzle. Characters are likable too lol.
hmmm somehow they forgot that this manga is also funny!
hmm the enemies of this manga were called angels not literally they give a trial and it is base on paradox read it in wiki it is kinda mind boggling thingy, yup using your brain if you failed destruction will be the payment if you passed blessing will be given just like that...
kinda interesting just read it and use that brain of yours!
