wow, have seen the rating, have seen the comments, and just have one thing to say about that: it's better.
there isn't so much ecchi in it like some claim, the cute characters aren't there to enhance the fanservice factor, which is by the way only existent because of the whole harem thing and a few scenes...
But the second part of the story is really rushed, so it loses quite some quality after chapter 24. But until then it's a pretty good read.
interesting plot, cute characters, but no surprises: solid manga 7/10

Why does the guy act so whipped without even being threaten? He never talks about the way his world works which doesn't remind the audience that he's even from a a different universe. He's a character that doesn't use his brains... The character emotions seem weird, they make no sense at their introduction.
I don't get why the guy likes the girl. That itself isn't really written with any sort of arc but a positive is that he does seem to like her and expresses it. Funnily enough, he seems to jump the gun too soon and think some affection from her means she loves him. Odder still, the only time he seems a bit cool is when he's acting a bit pervy or trying to flirt. Otherwise, he doesn't even seem to care about the injustices of the world he sees as a modern man in this medival magical world.

its plot is beyond stupid and the reaction between cahrecters are beyond human.
first of all the person who created it has a slave fetish like many japanease people
the main cahrecter is annoying as hell
the boy charecter is pethetic and stupid
the art work reminds me of a totler with a ruler and a pen
the plot is simple and very very predictable
the charecters are not origanal
the theme is not origanal
its practicaly a copy of harry potter which is a 11/10
but
this manga is a horrible excuse for someone taking a crap on a sheat of paper and passing it off as a manga
danm you baka update, if only i could rate it a (-10)

Artwork does not suit the series

The main issue is the artwork here, because the characters look like 5-7 year old's instead of 15-17 year olds. It tries to bring fanservice but itse not fanservice because the mangaka does not even understand the meaning of the word 'sexy' and just continues to push cuteness and sweetenes where it is not needed.
The fact taht original novels were orientated to young adults and this manga looks like oriented for young children, makes it worse, as looks do not match the storyline at all.
Even characters that are supposed to look mysterious and strong like Waldo end up looking like pathetic carricatures.
This manga's artwork is way too sweet for the storyline that will only get more intense later on. Serious parts because of this pathetic terrible artwork do not look touching anymore, just idiotic and funny.
Anime artwork is much better, and novels artwork is better than anime and manga combined.
While anime raped Zero No Tsukaima novel storyline turning it into just dumb harem comedy, manga, though is more respectful towards plot, is raping the novels in terms of outlook.
I sincerely hope that the mangaka takes a hint at his poor ratings and drop ZnT, leaving it to other mangaka who hopefully would know how to at least draw teens.
It's one of the stories where I have to drop not because of the story but because of the artwork.
Anyways, as mentioned below - READ THE NOVELS (anime and manga are not recommended as both of them just shamelessly make fun of original ZnT).

I read a few chapters of this manga...and to be honest, its really just like the anime put on paper without color(not sure which one came around first). I do enjoy the series but I have a little bit of issue with the art syle. Its like the artist was going for a cute style and had no idea how a girl's legs go together.
Basically any of the times when they feel need to show Louise in her undies (on average prolly less than once per chap so far- like Kira-book says it barely registers as ecchi but if goes the same path as the anime, then the fanservice explode soon enough) I find it easier to see her over exagerrated flat-chestedness (even Lina Inverse had something) than seeing her below the waist.
Overall it is decent series but I would recommend hunting down the novels if you don't like what, overall, is sub par fanservice with an art style that seems anatomically ignorant. MxO is honestly a better (albeit short) series with much more toned down fanservice (if any, I might find it if I read through it again)

I really like this series. It has a good amount of mystery, adventure, and the fantasy i like to read. But, compared to some other series I've read, this can barely even be considered ecchi. I like the anime more than the manga in this case. Usually it's the other way around.
Ecchi over plot ?

The plot is rather interesting, but there is just too much ecchi in it. Some is good, but both anime and manga overdid it (light novel just leaves our sweet imagination to run wild ;p).
Read the novel.

I have watched all the episodes First and Second Season of Zero no Tsukaima. I have read the first 8 chapters of this story and if I compare the anime and manga, I would go with the anime. For appearance, I think anime is definitely better. The manga looks more loli-ish. Well, I still have expectations for the manga. Anime is usually a bit different from the manga because of "filters" and I've only read 8 chapters. There might be some great scenario coming up. I'll keep on reading.

The manga is great and looks promising for even more of 'goodness".
Because the manga hasn't progressed that far yet I watched the anime (13episodes) wich was great and left me with that "everything is good" -feeling. Hmmm sweet romance.. want more !!

although there are only 6 chapters released so far, the manga series seems promising, because of the anime series released and the soon to be released second season. the novel is also a really good read, and the manga's plot seems to be a compromise of the two.
