Very funny read!

Well, for once I loved the sense of humor in this work and that says something because I'm a tough nut to crash with comedy manga. This however, made me laugh out loud.
I loved the art and the whole paneling and storytelling was very skillful.
I loved the characters, both the heroine who is a strong woman and feels pity for herself for falling for him, and Taro, who is just so oblivious and ignorant... he's innocent like a child but every now and then, a bit of seriousness comes through...or not?
The only thing I didn't like about it was
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
that Tarou slapped her when she said his brother was just jealous. That is going too far.
Oh and when they get Miyako out of the ex-boyfriend's room, Taro says to report them to the police because hurting the woman is a crime and the friend goes "maybe in your head" come on guys, rape is a crime.

Well, I really enjoyed this manga and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a very funny and happy story, and people who are into somewhat strange male characters!

Chuujou is so DENSE!! HAHAHA!! I can't help but laugh when I see his straight face during those hilarious time. All the characters are lovable, and the storyline is quite good and interesting, oh and beautiful art! Honestly saying, I prefer this better off than Aisuru Hito. Really. This is far better. Even Ningyo Ouji is much better than Aisuru Hito. Don't bother reading that one.

I kinda liked this manga. It's very sweet and I didn't get to see any gorilla/monkey chibis that Yoshihara Yuki so enjoyably drew in Aisuru Hito and Darling wa Namamono ni Tsuki. It's gross man. I'm so happy and relived that I didn't get to see any of it! HOORAY!

The art was great and the plot was different but it didn't really capture my attention. It was cliche, typical and way..way too obvious. There's very little smut also and lack of comedy. The main characters are definitely interesting but overall, i probably wouldn't read it again.

i'm a kinda fan of yoshihara yuki's, i've enjoyed a couple of them, but some of them seem to have the same main character personalities; the pervy, bit obnoxious girl and the quiet, strict, but deep down caring man. i also didn't really like the way the main girls were drawn in the couple i've read. so needless to say, i was a little weary, but it interested me, and the cover seemed like really cute art.

and i enjoyed it! the main girl was sooo cute (i really liked the way she was drawn!), and the main guy was absolutely adorable and clueless, but just enough man. ;] the plot was nice too, especially since they both had something they really enjoyed. .. although the main focus was on sculpture of course, and it didn't get too much into their careers; which i didn't mind.

the end was not very memorable, and the story wasn't all too deep, but it was light and cute like others have said. and the pervy clueless guy was cute hehe. i liked how he was pervy, but he wasn't a total playboy. oh and i also disagree that nothing was funny; i was still laughing out loud at some of the parts!!!

I'll admit I'm not a fan of Yoshihara Yuki's so I can't judge on her previous works and all. But Venus ni Arazu was a charming story, and I'm rather glad smut isn't overly focused on. I don't think it's necessarily laugh out loud hilarious, but god it's sooo cute! >w< I love the male lead, he's such an idiot and cutie boy~

What can I say? I love this woman.

Like all the other reviewers here, I'm also a great YY fan, and have read all her works. But, unlike them, I wasn't let down by this manga at all. I thought it was very funny as usual, and I actually didn't mind the fact that the smut was toned down a bit; also, as frustrating as he may be sometimes, you've gotta love Tarou - he's such a complete ditzy moron you can't help falling for him (nice change, I was expecting the usual smart, capable, tsundere type and not this sweet, dense hottie).

Very enjoyable read.

I will start with I am a confessed Yoshihara-sensei fan, I love her sheherezade and Oh butterfly o flower. I have had expectations on this one. But its seems the art downgraded a little and the story was soooo light. the scenes which were supposed to be funny weren't funny at all. its all a waste...

I've been a fan of Yoshihara Yuki, but all I can say is this is not her best work. The art is good... but it just lacks the humor I'm looking for. It just didn't make me laugh... But if you're looking for something to read, I think this one would be ok.

Being both an artist and a fan of YY's work, I 'm very pleased with the first chapter and have quite great expectations for the rest.
The art modeling bit is quite realistic too, minus the impromptu groping of course XD. The two leads are quite interesting too, at least the little strokes of characterization given so far. A young woman full of stardom dreams but having to bump into the difficulties of small level fashion modeling and struggling to make ends meet vs a young man in search of inspiration for his sculptures. Both of them are a bit naive , although each in their own way biggrin (well, for an artist to be a tad ... out-there is almost the norm bigrazz . I know I and my fine arts school fellows can seem to be coming from another planet at times XD ) . And yes, IRL we might not go around groping humans and objects we deem interesting for our artwork , but the thought of doing it is quite frequent actually bigrazz . In this sense the behaviour of our lovely , a bit Sosuke-Sagara-looking hero, is a quite true, accurate portrait and funny to boot . Yes, bone structure and muscles moving, the tendons of a living subject are indeed an enticing and fascinating challenge to drawn, paint, mold...
Approved ^^V , I trust Yoshihara-sensei for more quality goodness to come .

EDIT (6 scanlated chapters out of 7 total ): it seems to me that, although the work is still enjoyable overall, Yoshihara-sensei didn't find the right balance and blend of comedy and drama this time. After the very brilliant first chapter, both pacing, mood and gags are sort of uneven. The story sort of fizzles out. Maybe she was tired, maybe she's trying to change her storytelling style (personal opinion of mine: don't fix it if it ain't broken bigrazz ) but she's still struggling with whatever is trying to achieve. In this case , both the drama and the comedy are not fleshed out enough, and the result is less than could have been if she had stuck with just one main genre. There's a lack of her peculiar sparkle and wit. Pity, as both the characters and the story beginning held potential. Maybe if the series had been longer everything would have balanced itself out... maybe. But with only one chapter left I don't think she can achieve the miracle.
Even so this is much better than most of the smut around. Truthfully, there has been very little smut in here... so far XD. So, both lovers of lotsa smut action and Yoshihara beginners would be better off reading another title , like Darling wa Namamono ni Tsuki , Chou yo hana yo , Itadakimasu , Sheherazade or Sheet no Sukima
