I don't really know much about Wada Shinji, but from what I'd heard, he's supposedly very good at what he does and quite famous. Therefore, I was pretty disappointed when I read this manga and found it full of clichés and ridiculous stereotypes. The "Queen" in particular was the most absurdly clichéd character I've ever seen, which made most of her appearances seem ridiculous. The story just didn't really make me feel emotionally involved, and I was disappointed by several things that happened and the ending as a whole - there were just so many things that weren't realistic or I felt needed more closure, and so many mixed messages! First you have all the bishounen stuff; the hot guys, and their frequent appearances showering or at least partially nude. Okay, I totally get that. Even some light yaoi undertones between Ren and Jake and surrounding Ange too, understandable considering Higuri You's past works. Then there was some weird Mahiro fanservice such as her showering on more than one occasion and even a panty shot; considering this is a josei manga, I really do wonder where this fits in?!
The characters themselves I felt needed more development. Mahiro could border on annoying because of her many supposedly endearing characteristics, and I was frustrated by Ren's womanising and the angst. Mahiro's little male harem were all very one-dimensional and most of the characters lacked depth.
One thing that is largely without fault is the art. I really don't see how you can complain about the bishis, and the art style as a whole is very clean and neat and pretty, as well as all the backgrounds being very well done. However, when she drew people with shocked expressions I just thought it looked stupidly over-dramatic and ridiculous, which was really hard to take seriously, and the way she draws hands looks kind of clumsy to me.
Despite the faults, I did find this series quite fun. It's not like there's anything ground-breaking about it and there's so much you can say is bad, but somehow as it was brought together it became tolerable, if not enjoyable. If you like deep manga, this really isn't for you, but if you're not looking any further than a fairly good read you should give this a try.
I would point out that since Go! Comi have significantly scaled back their releases, it may be that the next volume won't be released in English for some time.

I really like this manga. There might be some lame clichés, but altogether it's funny and charming. There is a nice mix of shounen action and "softer themes". Actually worth to grab from the bookshelves ;)
