Golden times! Great!

I've read my share of manga in the last year and slowly began to think I was running out of manga that would interest me.

I came across a brief reference to this anime, and quickly fell in love with it. Now I'm rushing into the manga to read while waiting for my others to update.

You could call it generic, but it kept me wanting more. The further into the story the quicker the tears came. Specially near the end of the anime. A must watch, and I'm sure it's a must read. I need to know what else happens after the logical conclusion of the anime.

Love and the essence of memories

This manga definitely needs more comments, as it stands out as a great and unique story. I haven't read the novel, but this adaptation is amazing so far, it has good comedy, a lovley love story, great characters and a unique story with an narrative approach I've never seen so far.

As said, it is a unique story indeed. Just depicting the opening premise in the first chapter reveals this (minor spoiler): not the mc is getting confessed - as the case with almost all clichéd shounen romance mangas - but the random guy he befriends with on his way to college. Thus the female lead makes her appearance. This may seem a bit unappealing and strange at first, but the story doesn't develop into a pointless unrequired love triangle. It has more to offer, much much more. Nothing in this manga is as it seems to be at first. The characters become deeper with every chapter as the background of their behaviour gets revealed bit by bit and the plot development never ceases to amaze me. This said, the author did a great job capturing the train of thoughts of the characters, and how they personalities came to be. This is the case with both leads in the story. Thus, this story deals not only with love and comedy but also with the process of self-discovery in life. Till now the author managed to bring some incompatible seeming story elements into the right balance together. A perfect balance of sweet and warm story elements with some more serious and deeper topics. A balance that is hardly achived by any author, but this one pulled it of. This may be due to the great draft of the novel, but nevertheless the mangaka truly shines in this one as not only the story adaptation is successful but the art is great as well. Ergo: a must read for everyone! and not only for those who like romcom dramas. This story will definitely appeal to readers from other generes as well.
