I honestly think that you shouldn't read this manga. The manga only goes half way with the story and leave the ending incomplete. Still, it was pretty good while it last. The anime, on the other hand, was simply brilliant. The 6 episode did an amazing job of telling the sad, yet heartwarming story. It's a great watch for sad romance lovers.

The anime adaptation is really sweet, and the manga is just as good. Honestly I like the anime because there are really nice colors...but the manga is the essence of the whole thing itself xD

I have no idea why people are giving this manga such high ratings. Yeah, I like the characters and story as well, but it's all ruined by the fact that there's no real ending. They introduce a bunch of seemingly important plot points, but then the manga just abruptly ends in the middle of things without actually dealing with any of them. It's kinda like if you were presented with a delicious meal, but after taking a bite, someone suddenly snatches away the rest of it, saying that one bite is all you're going to get.

A nice short story

The only shameful thing about this manga is the missing final part of the novel's and anime's story, but it's nonetheless what I'd call a good adaptation of the work. Only having seen the anime, I can say it adds many details, although it might not be as good as a standalone manga.

I would however recommend it, to both anime's and bittersweet stories fans. As short as it is, the world in this story is also small, limited to few but interesting characters (there's even a friend of the protagonist who was missing in this adaptation, if I'm not wrong). The pacing is not excellent and a few scenes aren't actually shown unlike the anime, which can be quite regrettable, but other things are explained in a better way. Still, it's an alright version of the story, and it's enjoyable the way it is.
