I often felt as if I would have skipped a page or panel in this manga, but NO, I haven't. You have to watch out a little because of the fast pace and sometimes you will even have to go back and look who that character was again.
It's annoying, but the story is really good and the characters awesome. (especially the herione).
So it's absolutely worth the trouble.

enjoyable by Maniac_Mnaga_Lover on August 17th, 2009, 3:04pm

I love the main character Lena/Ley she is strong, and is able to fight for herself, not like one of those shy heroines that are weak and helpless, and rely on the men

abiding strenght...Thy name is woman. by milern on August 7th, 2009, 6:38pm

Man, I wish I was as strong and charismatic as this girl. (Meaning Lena/ Ley) By simply being herself; the androgynous enigma Lena unwittingly draws all sorts of characters to herself, much like the way a high burning flame calls forth many moths. Lena's character; her appearance earn people's respect, their admiration, and this is even before the whole "Child of Prophecy / Save the world" deal. Her silent and dismissing attitude can and is often mistaken for coldness, while we the readers know this to not be the case...Inside of this girl boils all sorts of crippling emotions, and with good reason. Manga characters have given up on life for lesser burdens; compared to the many that this engaging heroine has to bear. The imagery in the overall artwork is beautifully depicted and detailed. The men are absolute bishies. Lucien, Micheal even the villainous count is gorgeous *Insert drool here*. The plot is rich in it's own history, politics, warring tribes etc. And by the gods, I tell you everyone has an agenda, so there are enough side stories to shift the focus of off Ley from time to time. The action is thrilling and yes there is action, not simply limited to sword fights either. Ley is a total bad-ass with a sword, especially when she's provoked/pissed. So lets see...
☑Engaging plot-line
☑Breathtaking characters/ Bishies
☑Fulfilling action sequences/fights
Now, that only leaves a surprisingly no-nonsense, un-yielding, enduring, and determined heroine; predestined to be the catalyst at the center of it all....
You bet your ass Check.

want more~ by countingwounds on July 2nd, 2009, 5:51pm

such... beautiful.. men..
really interesting. i also like how you can't guess who she will end up with. and the setting in the middle ages is very interesting to set the plot in. it didn't really stand out in the beginning to me.. but now it does~ (hehe)
lena is unlike any heroine i've ever encountered.. and i like it! cold, bearing pain, strong.. sometimes seemingly lacking humanity. but it's there!
ohhh and i am TOTALLY rooting for michael. he's sooooo beautiful, and i love long hair. XD plus
Spoiler (highlight to view)
he knows lena is really a girl, and i'm pretty sure he really really likes her since he's following her and "protecting" her. at least that's my take on it!

Amazing plot and art ^^
The heroine in this Manhwa is unique and well thought out, unlike the typical shoujo girls so commonly seen these days.

love it by britnh3 on May 20th, 2009, 2:33pm

I really enjoy this series; it's fantastic! the main character suffers a lot in the beginning (I wasn't fond of the beginning but not because she was suffering) and throughout the series. i vote for Lucien although that might change- only read 6 volumes...but...exactly how old is he?

A definite recommendation to shoujo/fantasy/adventure lovers by arrha on May 4th, 2009, 2:25am

This manga reminds me of Fushigi Yuugi with its time travelling-storyline, the destined heroine, and the bishounen-s who serves as the heroine's guardians/travel buddies. Thankfully that's where the similarities end. I guess one of the things that I like in this manga so much is the heroine. Like what all the previous comments say, she really is bad ass (e.g. she can really fight) and is a very 'layered'/complicated character. Aside from the heroine, the story itself really draws you in. The romantic undertones of the story is handled really well, you're not overwhelmed with fluff (I would even say that there really is no fluff except for some parts of vol. 1), and it keeps you wanting to see who'll end up with who. (which I applaud myself being a very picky shoujo reader) The art is fantastic to the point that I keep pushing the print-screen button on my keyboard to save a particular scene so I can make a graphic using it later. The art I guess also compliments the story pretty well.

This is definitely one of my new favorite mangas I'll be watching out for in Mangaupdates' releases page.

one of my best! by whiterat on January 10th, 2009, 2:41pm

I hate the typical idiotic cry baby heroine that always needs to be saved by the man that she falls for at first sight im just sick of this kind of plot so this manga really is a life saver for me cuz i thought i will never get to read anything interesting with a girl as the main character (where all the cool girls gone!?) anyways i really love this manhwa its in my top 10!!. and by the way in this particular story i got a few things that i love combined: girl heroine+that kills+is in the center of an harem when the harem is not so abvious i mean theres the gender bender so everyone thinks she is a guy+the girl is not an easy one(in terms of love) and you dont hear her thinking "handsome" and then abviously blushing everytime a new bishi appears. go lena kill those bastards!!!!! accomplish your vengance!! and i vote for lucien as your partner!!!!

I would recommend it by yui_fallenrain on November 28th, 2008, 7:23pm

I didn't like the story at first because of the beginning since the heroine was facing some tragedies, but I changed my mind as I kept reading the series.

A Master Piece.. waiting for more! by SandraVerdugo on September 10th, 2008, 8:13pm

I first thought that this was going to be a typical, go back to time kind of setting, but as you read the first volume you get enthralled by the plot. Lena is not the typical heroine, she is rather in her own category, the way that she does not want to attract attention, and well she rather does.Like that she gets on with an unvelivable adventure. Full of sword fighting, romance, angst and most of all mystery. I completely recommend this story i love all the volumes thus far, i am surely not dissapointed.
