Description
From DMP: Minami is a young actor who has been cast as the main character of a superhero TV program. Although he takes the job half heartedly, thinking of it as a mere children's show, he's soon taken by the talent of his costar, Sawada. One day, Minami stumbles upon Sawada kissing a man! Deeply confused, he's unable to hide his growing attraction for him... A hero's love is always filled with trials!
Im gonna be honest here. I like old art but not this one. Every time I see them in their costumes, I laughed so hard. They are awkward and ridiculous. The story is such a drag. The main character is a wimp and the rest of the characters except the seme is just flat and boring. Idk what to say about the seme, he's so robotic and weird. Nothing makes sense or its so ridiculous that I dont bother to understand it.
Oh jeeeez. My brain is frying from all the drama and the tension. Everything is just that hot. Yum. It's an angst galore; offering an interesting acting-related plot with these EXTREMELY intense burning moments. Heart-crushingly intense. Honestly, the sweet bits DID NOT balance out the hurt moments. Seriously. I've been reduced to shouting expletives at the monitor in frustration and murmuring 'nononononononono' at the emotional, painful bits (basically the whole thing). When things get tough in the manga, the reader burnt. And the pain just keeps accumulating until everything explodes and you just keep cringing (mainly at the Sawada the gigantic ass times).
...And I hope I don't sound masochistic when I say that I loved this. I hated it at times (the 'ending' scenes and some of the scenes at the start) but I just kept reading. It's so captivating. You begin to actually empathise with the characters. It was not just eye candy, it was a thrilling and emotional story of the 'plights of love'.
I quite liked this since I hadn't read a yaoi which wasn't fluff for a while and followed the same predictable plot. I admit that I cried whilst I was reading this and I really liked the plot to the story and the programme, the characters were well drawn and the costumes were really hot.
I finished reading it now.I love the story actually It was about show business and back story was good I think i like it much more It is true that there were many sex sciences but they weren't very very good.I just can't like Sawada. He wasn't a bad character after all but I can't feel for good things toward him.I don't know why but maybe that I love the Katagiri so much.I feel very sorry for him.uhhh He was such good man and damn Minami left him behind ."sob" "sob" I prefer them to become togerher.I wish Minami could fell for him.ahh I so mad about this end. But yeah Katagiri deserves much better than Minami.Go on Katagiri! actually I think mangaka should write a side story about him ,shouldn't she? I will give it 6 for sake of him
interesting story, yaoi scenes not the best, but honestly decent. i much prefer the mangaka's nonyaoi work, but ok, let's pretend that never happened. in accordance to my experience with yoi, my reaction is meh. not great. not terrible. above 5. below 9.
... for one reason, I felt more interested with the plot of their script rather than the actual story going on.... for some reason, their costumes seemed better and cooler.... well, maybe it's just me being partial to fantasy *-*
As for the real story itself, it was ok... although I agree with some that the main characters aren't exactly that likeable XD... except of course... they look awesome. The art is probably the only thing that made me want to finish the story. *-*
Ok so the art was great and I mostly enjoyed it but the romance upset me. I didn't really like what the mangaka did with it. *spoilers up ahead* Minami got together with Katagiri and it started to get serious, at least for the Katagiri guy, and all the while he just couldn't forget about that one night with Sawada. In the end he leaves Katagiri for Minami. This really spoilt the whole thing. It is rare that I dislike the main two characters but honestly I felt sooooo sorry for Katagiri and prefered him over Sawada and that is why this manga didn't work for me. I'm not sure I would recommend it.
It's quite a good story in my opinion, there are angst (I love angsty story), character developments and some storyline...I would give a much better rating if it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't find my self rooting for the two main characters! As I read into the story, I found my self just hoping that they won't end up together, instead I really hoped that Minami would end up with Katagiri.. and Sawada just got on my nerves!!..sorry to say, but I just didn't find the main couple likeable, which is a very important thing in order to leave lasting good impression on the readers. But other than that, I think it is a fine story.
I really like this one. I agree that there are some few flaws in the series. First of all, i agree that at some point the drama drags on for too long(the end of vol2 and the beginning of vol3). However, that nevers make me get tired of this manga. Another flaws is that the happiness at the ending is just way tooooooo short. Its not enough for me, considering all those painful drama right from the start of the manga until the end of vol 3, i would love to see more happy n joyful n lovey-dovey scenes of the two of them lol
One strong point of this manga is the development of Minami. I really love to see him grow from a weak-hearted and bad actor and become a strong man and a great actor in the end. Certainly my uke type <3 (I dont quite like the girlish uke)
Spoiler (highlight to view)
i also feel pity for Katagiri, a very sweet guy, as Minami chose the cold-hearted(and a jerk) Kazuomi. But oh well, i love both the seme and Kazuomi comes first (lol) so i hope Katagiri can find someone else who really love him from the start :p
Despite all the flaw, i still think this is a manga worth reading. so ill give it a 9.8 : )))
i've read other comment and i've gotta say, i have different opinion with them. i actually like this one. there's some bitter story in it. which make me "aww" when i read it. i quite agree that Sawada's a jerk. looking from how he ran from his feeling. but hey, he's just too afraid to fall in love again. he tried to run but no use. he already fall. and for that, i forgive him. and minami, i just fall for him. trying to hide his feeling. but in the end love's win ^^ no matter how hard they try to get rid of their feeling for each other, you cant fight love hehe.. and when katagiri tell minami to go in the end, 'aaaah' its all i can say. what a gentleman. too bad he get dumped. but he deserve a better man. lol i love makoto's work because the seme and uke are both man. not uke have girly look (big eyes, teary, no muscle). i love their abdomen muscle hehe.. *blush*
