Description
Being in love with your straight sempai isn't easy, but being in love with your straight, homophobic, and (to top it off) tyrannical sempai can be hell! And that's something Tetsuhiro Morinaga can relate to... especially now that he's had a taste of the forbidden fruit!

Features the same homophobic brother from Challengers, but this time as the main character!

Contains an extra story called Bokutachi no Shippai in v.5 featuring Masaki and Morinaga's big brother Kunihiro.

The main story is complete with volume 8, but Hinako Takanaga has started writing another volume or two's worth of side stories.

One of the best yaois there is. Really like the development of the characters, specially Souichi (aka.
Sempai). Perfect combination of the comedy with the drama, and if you really get into it, you will cry.You can either love it, or have it.

Well this manga remind me of my college affair XD

Firstly first this is my very first time to give a comment here since i usually a kind of passive reader here?hehe and please please excuse my english or grammar mistake cause my english is not that good, sorry. But why i brave myself despite my bad english want to give a comment here because i kind of experienced this kind of relationship by myself. Well not to the point until sex scene though.

So i was in my college when i fell in love with my friend who is same sex gender. And i am straight. She is too. But i dont know how this feeling develop between us. its just i fall in love with her. she is kind of manly or butchy-in lesbian term (?) and maybe i kind of longing for someone that can take care of me and give a manly aura around them. I had a boyfriend before but he is not that manly as her for god sake lol. Even my friend's boyfi also said that she is like a boy and manly. So thats maybe i fall in love with her. But like i said before im straight and i think that feeling for her is so wrong for me. It just not right. We are kind of know each other feeling. She even said you love me/like me right? But i prefer to not answer it and take that as a joke. But God knows how my heart gonna explode at that time and how awkward the situation.

It was her who always have a courage to push this relationship a little higher, like we often go out together at night or in satnite, and at that time she even had a boy that like her and hit on her and he asked her to go out at saturday night but she turned his offered down and asked me instead to go out with her spending the night together in the lake in the city. She always said sweet things to me, like i like you you know, or dont do that kind stuff or i will fall in love with you even deeper from now, and she always take care of me, carresed my hair, pat my hair, hold my hand, that kind of couple things. And my heart sure go crazy with that. When she always sweet to me, in the other hand i always moody with her. Like this day i really want to see her, miss her, longing for her touch, but in the other day i kind of hate her for doing that, hate her for this kind relationship between us, hate this feeling for her. I wonder if thats like Souichi's feeling here haha

Im so moody, and in the end it always felt so wrong for me, this is not right, i felt disgust with me, us. And fyi i really dont mind or offended with gay people, its their right their bussines so im really fine with that. I even have a gay friend and perfectly fine with that, and somehow i find that they are interesting in a good meaning here. But maybe because im totally straight so that i found this relationship between us is disgusting. And now we both have graduated for college, she found a job back in her hometown and she still message or call me saying i miss you, dont you miss me, or lets go out together this weekend, that kind of stuff. But i always deny this feeling. I answer her once a while, but i cant lie to my heart that i still miss her and longing for her.

And with that, i kind of understand how Shouichi's feeling in this manga. Well maybe in my point of view myself haha, but seriously when i read this manga it really remind me of my forbidden feeling when i was in a college haha. Wew i should give a comment about this manga and here i am telling everyone about my story instead, sorry people..but i cant help it cause it feels like this manga really portrayed how i felt back then. Again sorry for my bad english ><

I like a yaoi manga with a more interesting story.

I can't say it's unique though. You take it's prequel; Challengers, smash the two stories together, make Souichi the male nurse at school, make Tetsuhiro a student who starts off shorter until he gets a growth spurt in the 2ed half, give him an alternative love interest with a Fujosjhi best friend, make Tomoe a little more desperate to get laid without interference of his jealous overprotective brother, make Mitsugu a huge bear of a teacher, & replace all the rape with UST & save the actual sex as a reward for the 10th volume, then you have yourself Kazuma Kodaka's "Kusatta Kyoushi no Houteishiki," a popular mid 90s manga that also got a 2 episode OAV.

This is one of the best yaoi manga out there! Like seriously man!!! The emotion and hard ships Morinaga goes through is so heart wrenching!!! And in a way I'm glad Souichi isn't an easy man to turn over. Like if he wasn't then there'll be no meaning to the title XD Plus, as Morinaga's brother mentioned, it's not easy to just change your sexuality, so for someone as uptight as Souichi, it'll take wayy longer to 'change over.' So I'd sat that the realism in this section is respectable. Yeah the story goes around in circles but I love the series anyways so I don't really want it to end. ;_) And the humor is sooo funny, the whole manga is just soooo cute!!! I already think it's already a masterpiece. I just hope the new chaps doesn't ruin the feels I have for the 'ending' right now.

Not the bestest uke

I can understand why Moringa wants to be with Souichi a lot...Thats what you get when your uke looks like he hates you the %99 of the story. The most annoying thing is, Souichi acts like an oh-so-lovely-uke a few times during the story, and continues to be the demon afterwards. Sometimes Souichi treating Morinaga bad in a "comical" way isnt funny...I wouldnt call what Morinaga does "rape", since he was convinced that Souichi wanted him, and he was prideful, so Souichi just needed a reason:blackmail. I dont think Morinaga is at fault for anything.

I can't wait for the end of this series. After eight volumes with another super-tsundere uke and a constantly overclingy, overworried seme, nothing feels like it has changed since the first few chapters. It was really good in the beginning, but then everything seemed to stagnate, and now I'm looking forward to putting this manga on my finished list. It's a little irritating that it's taking so long. I think her other works are much better.
Oh, but the art is as good as usual.

One of the Best!

this story has a good art and a plot that though not so unique and original, is presented in a very appealing way to the reader. the slow progression of the relationship of the main characters is satisfying and justifies the depth of their emotions.
I read some comments that say this story was dragging on,but I find it much more logical and natural that a straight guy would resist getting into a homosexual relationship.

it is true that the denial and resistance of the uke kind of gets annoying at some points in the story, but if you're looking for a more serious type of relationship in a story, rather than "fast" relationships, and don't mind a little exaggeration an silliness, then you will probably enjoy this.

I don't even know anymore, such a mess.

I started reading this a while ago, but put it on hold. I wondered why so I re-picked it up today. And understood why I put it on-hold. The story is such a mess in some places, it doesn't even properly progress, keeps backtracking over and over for what seems to be just for sake of extending it.

While the story certainly wasn't dull, it just made me facepalm a lot. I'm not going to agree or disagree with whether the story was rape-based or not and judge based on that, but I found it stupid just how horny Morinaga always was, unable to keep himself in check. Ever. And it just kept happening about every chapter. Combine with something that just felt like domestic violence... What was really worst though, was how much the story dragged on. They didn't really get any kind of actual character development until Masaki came in, all just the same stupidly horny seme and violent uke-in-denial.

It's not the worst manga out there and I'm sure some people can still enjoy it, but it's no gem either. If you enjoy the almost-rape, drunk sex, stockholm syndrom, uke in denial coming through, violence, angst, self-doubting, emotional blackmail, misunderstanding combined with unnecessary jealousy while being distrustful clichés etc etc... by all means enjoy. The art is okay, it gets better through the story. Some aspects like Sou's family and all the living together stuff are quite enjoyable.

I got a headache reading this, instead of the seme, I couldnt stand the uke. Rather than a tsundere, he seems to be the one who wouldnt think twice before saying words that could hurt someone (worst kind of people).
The uke seems to speak some kind of alien language that has always start with "no" during sex scene, which is a total turn off. The story failed to interesting me, very repetitive with no depth. And his hair, I just wish someone to cut it already, I bet it got into the nose every sex scene.

The handwringing about this series is getting annoying

This manga has pretty art, lots of hot sex scenes, and a slow, emotionally satisfying progression of the main relationship. It's also true to the genre convention in which the seme is so overwhelmed with love and lust for the uke that he rapes him. The protesting, reluctant uke secretly wants it, of course, but he's too proud, repressed, and in this case too homophobic, to admit it. Then they both angst about it, the seme feels guilty etc.

If you like this trope you'll probably like Koisuru Boukun, since the manga's practically built around it. In addition to that you get to witness Tatsumi and Morinaga building a life together - moving in together, getting involved with each other's family issues, thinking about the future. It all unfolds at an even, satisfying pace, and nothing is rushed.

Some women find non-con hot. The concept shouldn't be that hard to grasp. This manga is for this type of women. If you don't want to read non-con, don't, no one's forcing you to. Rape apologisists suck, but so do righteous busybodies who try to control women's sexuality. Just do us all a favour - go find yourselves a nice, 100% consensual yaoi and stop fingerwagging at the rest of us.
