I think Anatolia Story is one of delicious manga by Shinohara Chie sensei. Besides, i love classic/old shoujo style of drawing. The plot is not something too cliche than any other shoujo manga nowadays so, i'll give this one of my fav series. biggrin Definitely OiSHii!

What a good and addictive story, i want more! I am still waiting for those five volumes that are missing to finish it off because this story is just too good. I love this kind of heroine and our main male lead is so great and good looking....ah. Although the art is outdated is pretty good so i will try and read more stuff from this mangaka in the meantime.

So far in this series I have been sitting on the edge of my seat to see what comes next. This manga has just about everything a shoujo should have. I was really quite amazed, and in some sections the art isen't to bad either. So I rate this manga accordingly, and don't let the art be the only thing stopping you from reading this. It's an amazing story!

A MUST-READ for shojo, or just plain manga fans. I love the main character - not at all like the ditzy, hopeless girls of most shojo, but is actually a strong, capable, and admirable woman. Character development is awesome, as well as the plot and the romance.

Whenever I read a shoujo manga, I normally read it for entertainment, no matter how trashy it is. It's like buying one of those crappy books at the airport.

Red River, though, is nothing like that. It is completely amazing. Likeable characters, amazing and original plot... it's like Shakespeare compared to all those other trashy books. Here's one manga you just don't read for entertainment, I'll tell you that.

It's the true roots of shoujo. Forget Fruits Basket and Vampire Knight - you MUST read this. I've read a lot of mangas [a LOT] and this one just simply stole my breath. It's a real page turner.

It's a lot like Basara, which is good, because Basara is also an amazing manga.

Point is... go read Red River. You will NOT be disappointed.

I usually don't read those stories with old style drawings but after I gave it a try I found that the art was part of its charm. The story is really good with alot of interesting plots! There are a lot of action as well as some comedy here and there and how the author combined the storyline with history is really interesting!
And you'll just fall in love with the charcters! The heroine is a portrayed as a strong-willed girl and the romance between her and the prince will just make you scream for more!
Any shoujo lovers will easily become addicted to this, and even if your not such a shoujo fan I'm sure you'll enjoy the journey and struggles all the characters have to face in ancient mesopotamia!
