Description
When Soah's impoverished, desperate village decides to sacrifice her to the Water God Habaek to end a long drought, they believe that drowning one beautiful girl will save their entire community and bring much-needed rain. Not only is Soah surprised to be rescued by the Water God-instead of killed-she never imagined she'd be a welcomed guest in Habaek's magical kingdom, where an exciting new life awaits her! Most surprising, however, is the Water God himself... and how very different he is from the monster Soah imagined.

The art work is stunning. The whole sixty chapters so far have been visually captivating. The story has had some interesting twists and I'm looking forward to finding out what will actually happen.

It's very pretty, yes, but 60+ chapters in, and nothing's. happened. yet. You know exactly as much about the characters as you did as when the chapter was in the teens, and there is only a vague ominous rumble due to the tired, rehashed "evil mother-in-law" subplot. There's nothing overtly bad about this manhwa, but the author needs to sharpen her writing skills.

The art is gorgeous and consistent, I give it full marks. I can say otherwise for the story line and the characters. The story line over time gets pretty dull. The characters seem interesting at first, but again, as the story line progresses, none of the characters have developed and their reactions to everything is predictable. It's just like GodofMadness said, they have minimal facial expression. They look like beautiful statues. :\ It's a mediocre story with great art (although the body drawings are too elongated and awkward at times). I'll still keep at it. I want to see Soah and Habaek get together. The 'love square' is irritating but so Korean...so I try to ignore it as best as I can.

| Yeah, the art is good and all - What bothers me is the lack of facial expressions the characters have, as If they lack emotions. Also some characters are hard to distinguish, the author tends to draw the characters so much alike, I find it pretty annoying sometimes. |

When I started reading this I was all "Kyaaaa! The art's so goooorgeous". The guys are really hot (cool?) and all...but as you read on and somewhat get used to the art, the plot gets a bit boring, and I don't feel much apprehension, in other words, I'm not that excited to see what's coming next.
I don't get what's so special about Soah to have guys falling for him, she might be pretty, but she doesn't show much character, she hardly has any character at all or maybe I couldn't notice it?
I don't know the general opinion but personally I don't really like the love triangles in Korean manhua/dramas. They're kind of annoying. There always seems to be unresolved feelings left, I don't feel that way with Japanese love triangles. Not to mention there is almost always four people in it (love square? lol) -in case there's any confusion: main girl character X prince Charming I ( they fall in love), prince Charming II (also falls in love with heroine), and girl number II whom prince Charming I loved in the past although she didn't return his feelings, but has changed her mind and wants to get her prince back.
All in all, manga is for bored people to read, the plot may not be so great (maybe not yet) but the art's worth reading.

I don't think you can find another manwha as beautiful in the sense of artwork as this. Even the price of the licensed one is rather beautiful...way too beautiful for my budget, for now at least.
I think I know where the story is going, and let me emphasize on the two words 'I think'. I might be wrong.
It's a little complicated to explain, and I don't think it'll make sense if I type it out. For now, it only makes sense in my head.
And I like what I think is the whole story.
Referring to comel, I like that you gave a good score to this title but my nerves got pricked when I saw the words 'Another idea, please'.
It already has been pricked a couple of times when I saw people bashing at other titles, even titles I don't have interest in.
Do you actually know how hard it is to come up with a good plot that hasn't already been used?
Let's see you come up with a plot that no one will complain about, hmm? Remember, everyone is a critic.

I'm no fan of manhwa, but i think this is the best manhwa i've ever read. Of course if i compare to manga, manhwa is still lacking in many points. Especially the story telling, most of manhwa storry telling is a mess. They only good in art. I often confused and annoyed when read a manhwa, so that's why i don't like it.
But this manhwa has interesting plot, good story telling (compare to other manhwa), the artwork is beautiful. Although still need to build the emotional attachment of the readers, and of course, the story telling, cause i still didn't get in this point and that point... I also expect the development of characters (not just drawing bishie(s), more emotion and rational)..., more intrigue n creativity, and so on.
So far so good for manhwa..
The story is typical Korean's. 2 handsome and outstanding guys. One is really kind and suportive. One is playing a role to bully the heroine. And the bullier usually is the one the heroine will fall at the end, but then the heroine will know he love other girl... (at first). And at the end, the guy will fall in love with the heroine. Another idea, please.
*for winternite: Spoiler (highlight to view) what i mean is... umm, when u read or watch any korean's drama story. The big frame n the flow of the story always have 2 princes charming. Seriously, they're handsome, charming, rich, kind, very skillful or talented, and they're in love with the heroine, one of them which ended to be the heroine likes, already loved or had someone in the past... and so on. that's what i mean to be get another idea. Cause korean's story always like that... Examples; Full House (manhwa n tv series), promise (manhwa), witch yoo he (tv series), hot bloded woman (the 2nd arcs of the manhwa), n many others i can't remember. Not to mention other characeristics, such as one usually the heroine thinks as a good friend, actually always used her or play fooled with her... In this case Mura.
Anyway, the story had already been written, i don't think it's insulting but.. just hope if i told my opinion, it can improve the creativity of koreans author. In case of fortunate event, they looked at this site...
I tried to objectively judge, the (+) n (-). Well, if there's no critics and the author thinks that everyone had already been satisfied then there will be no impovement..
I would really glad if u could tell me, some interesing manhwa (genre: drama/romance) that has unique or different storyline, i'll read it.
I'm sorry if i get too analytical, but it will be wrong if i compare manhwa to manga, i guess just read and enjoy it..
But still, it's the best for manhwa. Honestly said, this is the first time i'm really admired manhwa. The artwork is awesome. And i also support this manhwa to be released in my country, so that i can add it to my collections.
o yeah, shin angyo onshi is good in term of the story. it's quiet 'heavy' but it's shounen manhwa. If u like manhwa, u can try to read it.

| Everything that luzzz said is true for me. The story doesn't show a good job of character development and the story gets confusing at some points. The art is BEAUTIFUL with magnificent background and stuff, but still, the storyline...i don't know what the author is trying to do. I hope she becomes more clear on the story. |

| The art and illustrations in this manga are luscious. Unfortunately, the story doesn't match up to the same standards. The story is quite confusing in a lot of areas and many things continue to be shrouded in unnecessary mystery. The characters are all pretty to look at but suffer from poor development. I would like to know how and why Habaek came to love Soah and many of the other characters' motivations. At the end of the day I'd rather read a scarcely drawn manga with a good plot rather than beautiful art with little substance. |

I love the artwork of this manga~ it's really detailed and the story is romantic and at times really funny, but can be very confusing for some.... but I really love this manga...
