High school is difficult for most kids. But for Kayano, a shy girl whose single mother seems to work all the time, it's even worse than usual. She's so afraid of drawing attention to herself that she can't tell the handsome Kamijo how much she loves him until one day she finally gets up the courage to write him a letter confessing her feelings...
This series has been adapted to Chinese live action drama under the name "Devil Beside you", starring Mike He, Rainie Yang and Kingone Wang.

It's good wouldn't say GREAT but it's good, it hooks you till the end just to see how it goes, but I wouldn't re-read it again. I thought the duration was perfect if it were any longer I would have stopped. I was really hooked by the first chapter and what kind of manga I thought It would be, but as it goes it gets really predictable but I kept reading it. I also didn't like how much the heroine cried in the later chapter it's just...I don't know too shoujo! The art is gorgeous I love how Takeru's hairstyle changes and how his style is drawn really intricate very detailed on his accessories. Well, that's about it really. Anyway I really recommend this manga I thought it was a good read

i thought it would be a lame one....
well i got hooked to it from the first chapter...it has a nice romance plot. touching and there is a bit of drama...yeah the main girl cries a lot so be patient with that.but i really liked takeru's character coz you can tell that he really loves her...^^..plus the art is really good!well it's the kind i like since i'm not a fan of those giant eyed mangas...plus the male lead is modelled after Hyde heheehhehe ;p

Awesome art ...:x speechless
Anyway like everyone comments about this, this manga is simply amazing. it plotted very well if u did not watch the drama or re-reading it, im sure u will be hook till end. PS: She like to draw with people expressing the "middle finger" If u notice, most of her opening pages have picture with the finger.
I love everything about this manga except how predicable plot is and how much the female lead cried. The plot is predictable, but it IS a shojo manga, and shojo mangas (with some exceptions of course) are generally fairly predictable overall. The art took a little getting use to at first for me, but the more I read it, the more I liked the art. The title kind of annoyed me because it only stands for like, the first chapter. The male lead was only devil-like for about 2 pages and then the author starts pointing out all his nice and caring characteristics and totally contradicting the title. Well, overall, I still love this manga, and you really should give it a try.
Decent plot, reminds me of kanekaro only much lighter in tone. But this isnt really a story i would want to keep rereading. Gorgeous artwork though.
And the hair !! Just gorgeous! Hahahahaha.
would see the drama...when I've time!
If you read it you'd remmember...my FPART: "Laugh for me" "but I can't laugh from nowhere..." "you laughed with yuu-kun" "ok..." and she 'smiles for him and everything's great <3 ;D!
LOVE THAT PART! (:
I loved the atwork! It was very unique and different from what you usually see in shoujo manga. I liked the story, although it is true that Kayano cries too much. I think Akuma de sourou is worth reading at least once. I've read it already thrice, so I recommend it<3
Decent, but recommended
I would recommend people this manga for it's nice story and beautiful artwork, but only if you could deal with the girl crying in like EVERY CHAPTER. The story isn't too drawn out, and finishes at a good part. The ending was adorable, so overall it was a typical shoujo (with amazing artwork), and a decent story.
Beautiful drawing style, decent story
I enjoyed reading this manga series once, but I doubt I would reread it...too long and there weren't really any parts that I see myself craving to read again. The art was simply gorgeous, but it did kind of bug me at first how the mangaka fashioned Takeru after a real-life person. Other mangakas probably do the same thing, I just don't recognize who their model/inspiration is.
The story was a little drawn out, but it was a sweet read nonetheless. My biggest complaint was that Kayano cried way too much. It was absolutely ridiculous how much she cried. As a girl, I would feel pathetic if I cried as much as she did (and yes, I am a girl).
I think the mangaka did a good job on the surrounding characters. I liked how many of the secondary characters appeared throughout the story and didn't just disappear after one or two chapters.
