Before suggesting any manga, I suggest you look at my lists on my profile to check if i've read it already. I could say that I've probably read most of the mainstream ones, with Dengeki Daisy and Cat Street being my favorite romances.

Try not to give me something historical or sci-fi/fantasy. And tone down on the weak, love obsessed girls. I've definitely had enough of those.

Just something where the cute close scenes will get my face glued to the screen, like DD & CS.

EDIT I also really like Kimi ni Todoke and Lovely Complex too btw

I agree with this.

Also try:
-Limited Lovers: She might sound obsessed with the guy from the description and the beginning but she grows alot. I love her character development and how she goes from spoiled to more independent.

Here are a few that vaguely work with your realistic romance requirement... because almost all the stories that I've read, with contain any romance, are far from realistic.

Always Together--This is a must read for a realistic love story.
18-sai no Kodou--Sometimes a relationship doesn't work as well as you hoped, and sometimes there's one that just might.
3 Years--It's sometimes a bit much... but with this one it has such a grain of truth in it. If you don't chose, you lose, and you have to deal with that.
Ii Hito--This one is vaguely realistic in the romance part, but it tries to show how the female characters that are slightly attracted to the main character deal with their rejection. Also, when it has a flash back to the main character's relationship with his girlfriend it seems fairly plausible. However, it is rather long and the distance between the romance parts are few and far between.

Cousin might work, but there aren't that many releases yet so it's hard to say.

So, out of 197 romance series... I have about 4, maybe 5, that are sorta realistic.

Check that... I only have 152 that I have read or am reading, and the rest are on my wish lists.

Those are two of my favourites right now too 😛 So I'm going to suggest a few that have given me the same sort of feeling - not sure if they're what your looking for but in looking at your lists we seem to like a lot of the same mangas:

Suki-tte Ii na yo - I'm not sure if realistic is really the word but there's something about this that is adorable, there are only four chapters scanlated but so far I love it 😛

Kiss - the art takes a little getting used to but I really like the story of this one.

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume - there isn't any romance in this yet but it's terribly sweet

Mars - okay drama drama and more drama but this might be my favourite manga. Also everything by this author is worth a read.

Romance from the Thumb - okay high school shoujo romance and might not be what your asking for at the moment but it's worth a read as it's really cute.

And actually have a look at my lists cause in looking at your I've seen a lot of similarities 😀

Perhaps Kare First Love? It's the first shoujo manga that gave me a feeling of realism while reading.

(It is not yuri although the tag says so) It's real adult love.

Baby Leaf
Talking About... (some stories)
Kano Hitoya Tsuki

They are realistic, I think.

Eensy-Weensy Monster is very cute, sweet and realistic. It's not an instant fall in love and the progression happens naturally over a good length of time. It's by the same mangaka as Kare Kano.

Since you like Lovely Complex you should check out the mangaka's other works. Nakahara Aya
