A shounen(loosely used here) manga, preferably completely scanlated, in which the main character is powerful but his/her companions or 'nakama' don't know about it., even though s/he uses his/her power from the shadows. And s/he has to be actually powerful, not the 'power up before/after every big battle' cliche. A romantic subplot will be pretty good too.
Avoid Yaoi, please.

Edit - Powering up every once in a while is okay, though.

Dengeki Daisy might work? the guy is kinda physical strong... but its more like his hacking powers and he keeps it a secret to the heroine..
Its a shoujo, but i found it good compared to other shoujos are get on my nerves..
Hanatsukihime Totally what your looking for.. except its a shoujo

Thanks for all of the suggestions, guys, but I've already read most of those. The only ones I haven't read are Dengeki Daisy(waiting it for it to end), Kage Kara Mamoru!(it's not being scanlated and King of Hell(can't find 'sources'). Any other suggestions?

Ao no Exorcist
He only manages to keep his powers a secret for awhile though. Scans are up till the latest chapter now. The anime's excellent as well.

Mx0 is exactly the opposite of what you want. MC is a guy with no affinity in magic, but due to a misunderstanding where he defeated a teacher, everyone (teachers included) thought he was a teacher-level mage. He has to pretend to use high level magic while the teacher he defeated covers for him from the shadows to maintain the facade. The only power he can use is to nullify magic, which in certain circumstances is the best magic skill in the world.
Also, the teacher who knows his secret is the father of the girl he is attracted to, and that girl is also the reason why he entered the school in the first place.
