Tired eyes from lots of reading... Now is that staring at paper or staring at a screen?
The 23rd volume of Gintama will be the last volume that [sitelink=publishers.html?id=235]Viz[/sitelink] is publishing in North America. This is despite the fact that the series is still ongoing with volume 39 recently published in Japan.

Speculation: What series/company is next?...
It has been confirmed that [sitelink=publishers.html?id=234]Tokyopop[/sitelink] is shutting down it's North American publishing operations. However, their film and European divisions will still remain open. It's still unknown what will happen to their licensed series. More information will be released in the coming weeks.

Scum-Scans has officially closed now (although their last release was 8 months ago). They were in the business for almost 6 years, but now it's time to stop.
If you are interested in continuing their projects, please contact miyagiCE. They have some unused raws, translations, and cleaned pages.
This poll suggested by comel is about any physical health problems caused by reading manga. I do realize that this would be better suited as a survey (as then you could choose multiple options), but just choose the most prevalent health problem that you've had.

Sorry, I forgot to add a choice "Only if it's better"
This poll, suggested by Panalopy, is about the covers of manga (and manhwa, manhua, etc). Apparently (I personally don't know any cases of this, but I guess it exists) sometimes when publishers release a new version of a series, they replace the cover with something different and newer. What are your feelings on this?

It seems special features are worth it if you like the series
In a few days is the infamous April Fools' Day (April 1st). At MU, we [color=red]WILL NOT[/color] tolerate any fake/joke releases being reported/announced to us. If we, by accident, allow a fake release to get through, please report the mistake to us (either via a [sitelink=submit.html?act=add_change]Change Request[/sitelink] form, through the forum, or you can email me at lambchopsil[at]mangaupdates[dot]com if you are not a registered member here).
As you have been warned against doing it, if we discover a person still attempting to post a joke release here, that person will be dealt with. Severe action will be taken upon that scanlation group.
Thank you for considering our request to remain as accurate as possible for our members.
Some people seem to think this news post is a joke or something similar. I assure you, I am being totally serious. Don't take it lightly.
And we can figure out if someone is trying to frame a group. We're not naive, so don't even try.
This week's poll comes from lynira. To be honest, I can't think of a specific instance of a special edition manga right now... But if the specials were good, I'd get it! I'm also a PC gamer, and I tend to buy those special editions if they're available. Like the collector's edition for StarCraft II! $100, but so worth it!

Ignoring the people who don't know what Lent is (hopefully now you do?), it seems more people would not give up manga for 40 days. Now what if it wasn't for Lent but for some other reason? Then what would you give up?... Are you willing to make sacrifices for anything? Just something to think about.
This week's poll is from Dragonfiremule. For those of you that don't know, Lent is a 40 day period practiced by some Christian denominations in where a person would give up something for the purpose of using that time/money in other ways (typically prayer, repentance, donations, etc). The purpose of this poll is for you to evaluate yourself to see if you could actually give up anime/manga. Or are you too reliant on this form of entertainment? Perhaps that's a bad thing... you decide.
