It felt fake

It felt like she didn't like the main guy and they just got together because they were good friends. It never got any deeper. She had better chemistry with the dragon..... cute story definitely not a romance 😮💨

Where to read the novel?

I absolutely loved this series, probably one of my favorites despite my disappointment with the ending. However, my main reason for commenting was because I wanted to know if anyone knew where I can read the actual novel for this? Or does it not have one? No matter how hard I search I can't find it.

Should've been a GL

I think this work was an absolutely fascinating setup. Right from the start we see that the MC has a massive fatal flaw- She is a suckup that allows people to emotionally offload onto her to elevate her social status. I do love how the author doesn't immediately condemn this behaviour, and as pieces of Sasha's past are revealed the author examines why Sasha has adopted this behaviour and she acknowledges and tries to shift her unhealthy behaviours.

I do love her relationship with Rebecca. No, it's not healthy, but it is realistic. Rebecca is in love with Sasha- and it is taken pretty seriously. Sasha encouraged her to think about what she wanted in life- and what she wants she cannot have within the constraints of the society she lives in. Sasha reads as a bisexual woman who is too emotionally repressed herself to understand that, and isn't really emotionally available for a relationship.

Frankly, while I went into reading this expecting a fluffy romance, I didn't really read it for the romance at all, but for the individual struggles of all of the characters straining against the rules society has set for them- chains they never would have even acknowledged if it weren't for Sasha- who came from outside of the box.

This was a fantastic read for anyone who wants well fleshed out characters with flaws that are treated seriously and not immediately solved or glossed over.

Fun read but unsatisfying ending

Ending = 2/10
I loved the characters and setting going into this one. However, the further in I got the more disappointed I was when loads of prior plot hooks went unused and ultimately the series ended about as generic and unsatisfying as it could've. The story spends a lot of time fleshing out characters inner issues in the later third of the work but ultimately does not resolve them at all; it ended up being a lot of bloated build up that never arrived at a conclusion.

Better than other stories, but not the best either

First off, the author is another author ignorant of brown cultures to the point of racism when they describe the neighboring country that is a "threat", which is based on middle eastern nations. So that ended up ruining this story for me.
The plot overall is cute and fluffy, literally. The FL wins people over by being cute and non threatening. Sometimes, it works a little too well on their enemies and therefore seems unbelievable. And, as others have mentioned, some of the pairings at the end didn't make sense, especially the FL lead's sudden love for the person she ends up with rather than feelings of a friend.

However, it was nice seeing annoying people get their just desserts and overall was a cute fun read.

absolutely not worth it

- considering the high ratings, i feel like i should give it another go. but i dropped it after two chapters.

so here’s the thing: whenever i have a manhwa i read that just doesn’t impress within the first few chapters, i try to skim ahead a bit to see if it solves any issues i saw from the beginning. here are my notations for this one:

the beginning:
- blatant colorism
- obvious yuri bait which is incontestably annoying not really for the lack of possibility of a wlw relationship (though that is true), but bc it’s clear the author doesn’t treat wlw relationships as equal to f-m ones. just not worth hailing 100+ ch of a predictable plot with an incredibly flat uninspiring line.
- fl isn’t a villain, she’s a side character (?) fl (?) idk it’s unexplained, the writing is jumpy, the translation poor. she feels flat, maybe she develops but i don’t want to stick around to see. there is nothing enticing or interesting about the plot but at least the fl isn’t a villainess
- was reading for green haired, long haired ml. very unimpressive entrance. no immediate characterization. no introduction yet of magic system but unneeded frankly, im just not interested
- poorly written villains (the noble people) with no characterization other than “evil”
- the art is dreadful and plain and ordinary. very uninspiring colors, lazy drawing of her death oml, and lack of depth in every character design. lots of missing backgrounds, very little effort put in

the end:
- art barely improves
- writing is just as shit. character development seems to be there, but still flat characters and poor narration
- still very much yuri bait. 😐
- ml still unimpressive.

overall: 1/10 just no. large, impermissible systemic problems combined with an awful boring plot and terrible art? not worth 100+ ch of that shit

I like these characters but not who they end up with, there's just little chemistry there. And I just feel bad for Naska he deserves better. Had some really good plot though and I like the main girl.

Real but unhealthy relationships

Art is okay. Where this story shines is its portrayal of its characters and their mixed emotions and motives. You have someone that means well but does harm by being neglectful. You have someone that doesn't understand humans, but gradually begins to. You have someone who wishes she were born a man because of current society. There's more, but each character has his / her unique background and motives and opinions from that background. This includes the main character of course - she's not perfect and purposefully panders to women to stay in high society.

This is all done very well, and the overall plot of how to change the story is engaging as well.

My personal issue with this story is that no one's relationship with the female lead is very healthy. Her two closest friends still, in the end, treat her more like a pet than as an equal. All three of the main characters sincerely love the female lead but only one can "have" her, and it's kind of weird watching all four of them hang out when her three friends are more like trustworthy business partners to each other than actual friends. They're all hanging out together seemingly solely due to the female lead, and their lives all seem to revolve around the female lead for the most part too. What makes things even more awkward is all three are in love with the female lead and all three know the other two are too, so it's like some weird tug of war situation going on because all of them want her. Basically it's a harem but it's the uglier side of a harem where the female lead's everyone's savior so their lives all revolve around her and there's discord because everyone wants her for themselves.

My other complaint is that this story isn't that funny nor that touching nor that romantic. I suppose its strong point is in portraying character's complex emotions and maturity, but since that just leads to weird not the healthiest relationships I'm not as happy about that as I otherwise would be. The female lead is basically everyone's therapist.

Dropped at chapter 76 because between all the main characters being really upset they can't be the female lead's partner, the main antagonist of 76 chapters still just there to be terrible, and more political drama happening reading this was more stressful than enjoyable. And, unless the second male lead (only one to not treat her as a pet, though not like he has the healthiest love for her either) suddenly ended up with her I can't think of anything in particular I'd really be happy to read about so why continue.

One of the best Isekai's I've ever read.

Enough said. I just felt compelled to write something since someone who didn't bother reading gave it a rating of 1... out of 10... This is one of the furthest things from a 1 rating... Only reason why it's a 9/10 for me is because I would've liked to of had a

harem ending or Yuri.
But I was still pleased with the ending.

EDIT: After reading all of the epilogue 10/10 and I've noticed another person gave it a 1... Some people just either love trolling way to much or they've never read anything worth while.
