Misaki is perhaps the most innocent and most sincere young lady there ever was. It’s almost inconceivable that she could be a vampire. With her powers as a vampire, she could easily entice any human to do her bidding but she chooses not to. Especially when it comes to Kuroe, a young author who has a deep running past with vampires, and the man she is in love with.

Note: Adapted from a set of Doujinshi by the same mangaka.

I thought I had finally found another vampire themed as favorite after Hitsuji no Uta, and shoujo readings like Vampire Knight and Chocolate Vampire with a Twilight-like melancholy mood were too cringe for my taste. But this one manga—with a heavy heart—is very disappointing. I don't know what happened during the long break in its publication but the story and art changed drastically. Since it's not strictly an action-packed, its lazy development is obvious. I officially lost interest in volume 8. I might regret not seeing the conclusion of the story but I'm already fed up with the pattern. From the start, the story seems like there is a special purpose but it is not directed there. It's more heavy on romance but it's also not very special either. I don't hate age gap (?) but sometimes I get uneasy by the FL who is physically younger even though she is a vampire. Then the way the author mixed the day-to-day life, the flashbacks, to random cases to fill the content are not interesting. There are some entertaining vampire stuff but things quickly turn boring. That being said, this a doujinshi with manga style so I guess I'm expecting too much.

Simply Enjoyable

A great romance novel that may appeal both genders - not to mention it's a vampire story to boot!
The story may sometimes be what others call "slow paced" but it provides plenty of action, mysteries, thrills and suspense all the same.

One can relate to the characters, and the drawing enhances the each character's personalities.
Though some people who look forward to fan service may be left unsatisfied, I believe it's the story that makes a manga enjoyable (unlike some mangas I have read that was purely fan-service).

An overall great story to read biggrin
I recommend it!

This is a lovely manga. And a vampire manga at that, usually can't stand those.
The characters are likeable, story progresses in an interesting way, with occasional flashbacks slowly unveiling the past. As others said, it's told in a "detective" style, but it comes across very natural and it doesn't bore at all. Don't let things like "vampire manga" "loli" "siscon" scare you off, it's not taking after any stereotype at all. This is just genuinely original and good. Highly recommended.

I stumbled upon this once and passed, but gave it another go and read it all at once. Only to discover that it was a pretty slow updating manga, so it might be smart to take your time reading it.

I don't understand why people say there is no action in this because there is! It is what adds to the story and how each character becomes the way they are. Actually I was quite surprised reading this after looking at the genre because I must say, Kuroe is more than what meets the eye. There is more history behind who each character are and Misaki is also somewhat a mystery for now.

In this manga, very few things actually happen. Sort of an investigation manga, with small arcs. However the relationship between Misaki and Kuroe is the best one you'll find out there. I cant' really define it, not a guardian, not a lover, not a child,... But it feels real.
It is very slow paced, and even slower since the releases are sooo long to come, but it is so refreshing. It makes you feel good. Calm. Cool. Well you get it.

Anyway, don't pass this without a try. And savour it, no need to read it in one go. But read it anyway, I think you won't be disappointed.

Misaki is adorable and the way the characters interact with each other in general seems very natural and engaging. I think I love most how well-hidden the twinges of darkness are in this seemingly very heart-warming tale. I only wish the chapters would come quicker.

Simply engaging and entertaining. The characters are all great, the art is perfect, the story is exciting and the style and layout of the manga is interesting and refreshing. I flew through all the volumes from beginning until the end. Misaki is too adorable and Kuroe is awesome. Great and interesting side characters are everywhere. The pacing of the volumes is just right and I've become a great fan of this mangaka now. I hope this gets off hiatus soon and I'll be wishing for more volumes soon.

Very warm and positive series. Sometimes it heads towards being dark and actiony, but those bits are surrounded slice of life stuff.

This isn't a romance story. She likes him, he treats her like a child. She is a (realistically depicted) child, and I don't see him going all paedophile on us. I was a bit worried it was going to end in ludicrous lolicon romance justified by 'she's a vampire and this is a manga so whatever', but fortunately it doesn't go there.

the main heroine is so adorable cute waahhh XD, but seriously if you are looking for some vampire action then this is not for you, it has lot of drama, daily routines (slice of life), and slow paced.
