Extremely good Manhwa , one of the best sequels actually
the world building was very good and the romance was refreshing (i love the style of the author) no misunderstanding no angst etc.. the romance is purely vanilla. ML and FL they where very good and of course i loved most the scenes with the old main couple (Edna and Elli)
Higly recommeded and im gonna wait for the Glory(the story of the sister) and last part of the trilogy.
ps Light and Shadows (Solid 10/ Masterpiece) is one tier better for me so the Golden Time is a solid 9/10.
ps2 (i didn't like the LDR situation in the end, also the romance of edna and elli of light and shadow was much better (few of main reason i found the Light and shadows better)

i like the circumstances and hardships featured for yessica.
i'm glad it didn't take long for them to reveal their true identity, and how cute their romance bloomed.
loved how alex figured out the history of his parents and how the empire came to be.
i also admire the emperor and the queen and how their thoughts were also shown, as trusting people and making decisions were really not easy.
also wasn't expecting a death of a good character, it made me cry.
overall, it's still best to read the first story before reading this one. although it really can be a standalone.

A lot of people don't like this as much as Light and Shadow (and hated one later more political arc in particular). This series is running longer than Light and Shadow but I'm enjoying it. The world is just as brutal as L&S and it feels like the same universe. It drags a bit in places because the focus is way more political than L&S and it is lighter on action and romance, but I don't mind to much since I went in wanting to enjoy it on its own terms and it feels like it's trying to do its own thing rather than being just like it's prequel.
Yessica is a fiery badass FL, and Alex is a combo of his parents, clever and dangerous, but also kind and just at heart (I like him more than Eli, lol). I love Yessica and Alex's story so far and I think this series will be enjoyable to new readers and fans of L&S, but it's best if you go in with the understanding that it will be different .
