Koori no Mamono no Monogatari

Description

Deep in a cave lies a demon trapped in ice who will eat any human who dares enter. The demon, Blood, waits for the human who will cry the purest tears, for the gem formed from those tears will break the spell that binds him.

One day, a young man named Ishuca appears in the cave—and knowing that his weak heart will not last long, he has come to die. Touched by Ishuca's gentle nature, Blood gradually begins to change from the cruel, ice-cold demon he once was.

One of my all time favorite Mangas and Sugiura-sensei's longest series. The artwork improves from Volume to Volume and the story is dreamlike - Blood and Ishuca as main pairing are sweet and Wild and Rapunzel are very interesting as couple 🙂

This story is so touching and cute! ^_^ I love Sugiura-sensei because of this manga. It also contains some heartbreaking scene. I cried at that part. This is crucial as I don't normally cry reading manga. Give it a try and you won't regret it. It's very engrossing

The story is interesting, the characters are either cute or cool, overall it's a great read. But why does Ishuca have to be so freaking dense?! Come one, a little kissing and/or (erotic) licking never killed anyone!
There has to be some doujins about them out here. I'm gonna find those! >_<

And I can't wait for more. I'm very much looking forward to future scanlations.

I LUV this volume. I wish my friends would not judge how the art is, for they are missing out on an extraordinary story! I love how the story progresses into the conflict and then BOOM! lol. I love it to the depths of my heart. ^^ This is definately my top favorite manga as of right now and probably is going to be for a long time. i can guarentee it. I wish I could find Chapter 3 of volume 7 and up though. T_T

Its really sweet. The romance is cute and pretty nicely done. I would recommend it, but as it goes farther on the shounen-ai moments decrease, and they were pretty light to start with. Anyway, emotions are shown really well and you understand the motives/reasons why everyone does what they do.

The Rapunzel story was really cute but

would it really kill them to give us one canon romance scene between rapunzel and wild, just a kiss or something

I read silver diamond first so my expectation was high on this one. I like silver diamond better but nevertheless it's amazing. This mangaka really know how to put shonen ai and supernatural together. The only thing its lacking is humor that silver diamond have but this story is more deeper than silver diamond. I really hope it won't get licensed, well not until storm finish scanlating it 😀 If you like silver diamond then i highly recommend this and if you haven't read silver diamond read it now!! 😀

Truly a great shounen ai with a bit of action, i really like the art and all of the characters which are quite a lot. Although it's a bit long it's worth it and i like how at the end you do not have to guess because all questions are answered and everything is concluded. Too bad though that there was not more intimacy between them than just kisses, ah would have loved to at least know it happened.

I read this manga after reading Silver Diamond and I asked myself, why didn't I found this sooner? It's great really. You might be irked with the grammar on the first few scanlations (deal with it, at least there's someone willing to scanlate it), but the storyline is very good. There are cute moments, angst-ish moments and of course, touching moments.

There is plot, mind you ^__^. For you to see the plot of the story, you'll have to read volume 9 and later. And yes, you can say that the plot is slow but not without a good reason. I think that character building is one of the reason a story is good and it is good to spend more time on that. You can see how Ishuca cracks the ice-cold shell that surrounds Blood and why Blood is so attached to Ishuca. You can also see their past that makes them who they are now and how they strengthen their bond.

The art also improves later on in the story. You could see the improvements if you've been reading, It becomes more..beautiful. And dayum, Blood is one bishie I'd want to get my hands on. And I'd like Wild as a bonus if I can, those long, silky black hair are one to die for.

If you are a shounen-ai lover or just one who loves romance with spices of fantasy and action, you have to have this in your reading list.

One of the best shounen-ai mangas out there!!!! The art is gorgeous & it's getting better every volume (my eyes almost popped out). The story is really captivating & heartwarming, as well as heartbreaking. Sugiura-sensei indeed won a lot of fans thanks to this excellent series.
