Description

The world has three types of people: aggressors, victims, and bystanders. Jinhyuk is the latter—a bystander happy to keep his head down until he’s an adult. Then, he can finally get his own place, a car, and escape the crushing daily life of a model student. But on the way home one day, Jinhyuk spots a kid from class, Heechan—an aggressor—getting beat up by his dad... a victim? As their paths continue to cross, Jinhyuk starts to wonder: could Heechan be the jolt he needs to escape his ennui?

I've just finished the webtoon with tears in my eyes, so sad am I to have to leave the two heroes. I loved the construction of this story and even if I have regrets because I think certain aspects could have been further developed in other chapters, I'm grateful to the author for this non-toxic and yet not at all simple but realistic, tough and beautiful love story.

i personally didnt like it. the pacung is whever a emotional scene happens, it cuts off in the middle, same with angst. and the angst never fully hits u, like their entire relationship seems unrealistic and fake. the development is just not there for me

H was first be like hurm....not bad starting, but I had uneasy feeling that this type of manhwa will have third person interference. And I'm not ready for it. Sk I skipped to the last chapter, mind you I was not finished the first chapter yet, I read it briefly and I cried 😭 It was a great manhwa, refreshing. And there's no smut pictures when they are together. Fun to read very emotional but not that deep like deep level of reading that requires a lot of attention. Their feelings are clear. But yeah the ending (the epilogue) it was a bit hanging I'll say. We can have a continuation but yeah. That's all bye

Reading this was like seeing the ocean for the first time, seeing the boundless sea and irregular patterns of waves hitting your toes, scared of what's to come, but staying because you surprisingly find it comfortable and hoping to feel more.

The novel depicted all of their essential periods in life; it was honestly narrated so well, it's also realistic. Their relationship was so delicate and healthy, with guileless feelings for each other, and despite having an angst, I found it soothing for everything soft and lovely. It's beautiful; I recommend it to anyone who's taking a break after reading a heavy book.

I expected nothing and this one take me by a surprise, fantastic work.
My heart break so hard for that tender, lonely and lost boy Heechan and fuck their teachers, he is the absolute garbage of human being and all parents are so selfish and dgaf about their kids.
Fantastic characters with amazing chemistry, story telling, pace , drama, ... Even the ending felt realistic and bittersweet.
I think being this uncertain about future is there even for straight married couples, u can't even see 3 happy married couples in your whole life, so imagine how hard with many obstacle it is in their way for a homosexual couple.
Author portray that hardship so good and so understanding about those rs, salute to her.
A whole underrated masterpiece.

I never got tired of rereading all the chapters as I awaited new chapters, those two hold a very special place in my heart. The author has a way with words and the art emphasizes their style of expression. I didn't feel too conflicted about the ending/extended ending. It was pretty fittingly realisitic and shows how maturely they can look back on "their youth".

Ending after reading the last side story:
I can say that I am satisfied with the overall ending of this story. I still really reccomend this webtoon.

The ending was not my ideal one, yet it's an ending full of hope. It's a bittersweet one in my eyes.

THE ORIGINAL INTENDED ENDING:
I am so glad that it was not the authors ORIGINAL intended ending. BUT that ending would have been very fitting too because: when they reunite at university, we find out Heechan pursues a career in the movie industry, in part due to Jinhyuk's dad's movies. The original ending of them meeting again in university and then just ending there would have been very fitting since it could be implied that Heechan would go down the same road as Jinhyuk's father and becoming so invested in movies/directing, being away months at a time and it putting a strain on their relationship. This ending would have been also fitting because they would meet again both as adults that helped each other out as hurt teenagers when they were in highschool.

THE ACTUAL ENDING WE GOT:
Rather, the author changed the ending to a happy yet such a hopeful/sad one, since now they are officially happy together as boyfriends after 14 years BUT they are not open about their relationship to their friends, coworkers and neither can get public congratulations if they get married. Even worse, it is implied that their relationship will stay strong even if Jinhyuk will be lonely months at a time when Heechan is away in another island/country working on a film. I'm conflicted because I would have rather Heechan keeping his films in the same city as where Jinhyuk works since that way it would be easier for them to see each other rather than Jinhyuk feeling lonely. I am also a bit conflicted about the ending since I hope movies/directing is not more important than their romantic relationship, and does not become a parrarel of how Jinhyuk's father's movies/directing was more important than a father-son relationship
