Basically... no ugly girl who suddenly turns beautiful due to some random #1 guy of her school and falls in love; no ordinary unattractive boring women who some random guy falls for; no the most powerful amazing huge boobed witch of the universe who swears to protect that everyday guy you see on the streets; no 7 150cm or under girls swarming over that mushroom headed or otherwise very ordinary looking ugly short guy on an abandoned island cause of who-knows-what-luck;

Simply put, not forced couples. Nothing ordinary. They don't have to be the elite of elites, but whatever they are, they must fit each other in terms of both ability and personality. They can have their decent amount of hardships, or they can be couples arranged by their parents. I don't care whether it is true love or arranged marriage, as long as they aren't completely against each other. Oh and! That includes tsunderes, no tsunderes!
Actually... I don't mind if in the very end they don't end up together either. But they have to be together at one point of time, and they're feelings must remain the same to a certain level at the very end. Basically, it means that no simple side story failed romance kinda thing.

Well in general as long as they match each other like pieces of a puzzle, there's not much else I require.

• No ecchi!
• No manhwa. I will take both manga and manhua, as well as anime and j-dramas. It doesn't matter whether it is scanlated or not
• Preferably no harem
• No tsundere leads
• No hardcore yaoi. By that I mean, no sex every two pages. No detail scenes on exactly how the mens' underbody looks like. No manga that revolves around sex alone and no emotions. HOWEVER! I love shounen-ai otherwise, so keep that in mind please lol
• Preferably no smut, but I don't mind it

I felt that all of those were perfect matches. (Kitano(angel densetsu) may be ugly but he is recognized for his kindness, and the chick in b gata h kei may be popular but her personality is very very different from her appearance so they fit together well)

Just realized the no tsundere cancels out yandere kanojo, but I still rec it cuz she is just shy in public and almost always involved in her idiot couple relationship throughout the series. Oh and I can't believe I forgot it but bonnouji is an amazingly natural feeling romance. Its not very far in yet, but it seems unlikely any author other than Oh! Great could screw it up.

A Night of a Thousand Dreams - shounen ai and a very good story.

Puchi Puri - another shounen ai, very cute.

1/2 Prince / 1/2 Prince (Novel) - the romance isn't the main focus, but the two characters are perfect for each other.

Prince loves to be independent, and Gui is fully satisfied with supporting Prince and letting him do what he loves.

Beast Master - I need to rereread this...

I've already read Kimi wa Petto, A Night of a Thousand Dreams, 14 sai no koi, Kanata Kara, and 1/2 Prince. Actually, for that first one I've yet to read the manga but I did love the drama. Other than the last one everything fits. I don't wanna spoil it for those who didn't read the novel, but... I can imagine her picking her husband by rock-paper-scissors.
Oh and, Say I Love You, I dropped that one. Can't remember why but it doesn't fit anyways. That's probably the last one that'll fit, just another random shoujo. As for Tokyo Crazy Paradise, if my memory serves I dropped that one before even starting. Not planning to read it again either.

I'm looking for something like Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang, Kimi wa Petto, Wedding, and well... I dunno, even Goth fits. I suppose I'm looking for something out of ordinary, not just sticking two random characters together and forcing them to love without a reason. Like, they deserve each other and not simple a stupid heroine pulling hind legs?

Will try the others. I keep getting recommended the Mars drama too, guess I'll have to check it out sometime.

Feng Lan feels oppressed by society's expectations as a girl, so she becomes a boy. Wicked loves her only as a girl, stifling her with his unneeded protection, but Gui loves her for who she is and steps back to let her be herself. She may not show it directly, but she really appreciates when Gui is by her side. Wicked is nothing more than an old friend in her eyes. Prince and Gui were attracted to each other the moment they first met. She's only cold to Gui because she thinks that he wouldn't be interested in her as a girl, which upsets her because she likes him.

Off the top of my head, NG Life. Its one of my favourites.

Yes, I definitely support 1/2 Prince. The couple fits each other perfectly, a real match made in heaven. And that's so very true. I honestly adore 1/2 Prince. The personalities of the couple really do blend well and complement each other. There's also a ton of humor, which is always a plus.
