Hi guys, im looking for an action manga with a romantic subplot. I'd prefer it if the manga was seinen cuz i've kinda out grown shounens at this point. Would be great if the main characters were adults rather than teens.

Heres a list of the seinens i've already read:

Beserk
Dorohedoro
Parasyte
Gantz
Terra Formars
Shin Angyo Onshi (was more of a mature shounen, but it was great)
Hellsing
Claymore

Sanctuary I the only other one I can think of off the top of my head.

But I know a bunch of Shounen manga that are pretty good.

Crying Freeman
Hoshi no Samidare
Trigun
Sugar Dark - Umerareta Yami to Shoujo
Ibara no Ou

Was 3 seconds away from recommending Kiseijuu... when I rememberd it's also called Parasyte biggrin

Thanx for your replies! I've already checked read crying freeman but dropped it half-way (Waaayyyy too much fan-service and the characters were just too dull). Anyway, keep the suggestions coming guys, and again, thank you

@firestalker
ok, i'll bite. Which shounens do you have in mind? smile wink grin

3x3 Eyes < says Seinen, but I though tit was shounen [one of my favorites]
Bloody Monday < Romance doesn't kick in until near the end of the second season though
Busou Renkin < Typical Shounen but I enjoyed it
Change 123 < A bunch of fanservice but a good series all the same
Recca no Honoo < another favorite
Kekkaishi < The romance is extremely subtle in this one
Psyren < another typical shounen, but pretty good
Rave < good series
Rurouni Kenshin < a staple manga and a must read for any manga reader
Tokyo Crazy Paradise < This one is actually shoujo but I enjoyed it enough to add it
Ushio to Tora < This one is getting an anime during the summer
Watashi no Messiah < I love this story but it can be a little confusing in the middle.
Zeroin < Schoolgirls with badges and guns... Perfect

Try these out....

Thank you so much! I'll give these a go, but ill avoid the typical shounens though. Already read recca no horo, it was actually the first manga i ever read and it felt more like a seinen than a shounen.

I suggest Shuto Heru, the action is beautiful and the story is very compelling, and Threads of Time.

Both involve a modern person being drawn into the past to fight the Mongols with a definite romantic subplot.

OH YEAH!!! How could I forget this one...

Sun-ken Rock

A great series, written by a hentai write of all things [though it's not hentai]. A lot of fanservice [NSFW series], but a great story and beautiful art.

I'm sure there's a fair few out there but I've only got a couple I'd be okay recommending:
Holyland. That mangaka is simply great at portraying broken/flawed characters. [Suicide Island by the same mangaka is great, too, but not action. It's survival. Destroy & Revolution hasn't been as great lately.]
Now, the infodumps early on are annoying, but get through them and you'll be reading a great manga.
RAVE is a solid shounen I enjoyed. Couple of criticisms but overall great.
The breaker is AWESOME! The sequel is not sad

Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge Probably isn't quite what you were looking for but it's...kinda refreshing. I should re-read that and reassess bigrazz

Kyou kara Ore wa!! probably doesn't qualify, tbh. It's mostly a (major) comedy/action...Mx0 I'd recommend if it didn't get axed and thus have a rushed ending :/ That made me raeg for years. so much potential.
Sun-Ken Rock you just tired of the sex and fanservice. It has peaks, but plenty of troughs...
Superior was good but the last few volumes of the sequel were not sad

As for incomplete series:
Break Blade, though it got less awesome.
Zetman Used to be a contender for my favourite series. Recent chapters and slow release have hampered that (AND I read Uchuu Kyoudai which is kinda without equal bigrazz )

And I agree, Flame of Recca is more of a josei/seinen hybrid for the most part. That series ended FAR too early, there was a whole world to explore and I'm sure I would've still loved it if it continued for a few more years.

Sun-ken doesn't have that much sex in it.... there is a lot of fanservice though. There are a lot of questionable situations that might be what your talking about.... but over all it's a good story and great art.
