Do you love your country?

Compared to OTHER countries environmental policies, America's environmental policies are quite good.

Hey, I have nothing against Canada. I like hockey and maple syrup.

I dont mind my country (USA) like the place or the people I know (but my town is a pretty anti-political town, we disagree with everything). as for the country's government and general attitude, I think we (the government mostly) are WAY too full of ourselves.

Yep
I'm Australian it's safe, the climate is nice, good water, good coffee, good food in general, people are friendly, good beaches, not over crowded, pretty low pollution levels, stable, still lots of untouched wilderness, beautiful, not on or near a faultline
Bad things: major tall poppy syndrome, bogans, drought, everything can kill you as everything is horribly toxic though I think we're a little proud of that, technology is expensive, broardband speeds are low in comparison, get TV and games 8 months late >_>
Australians aren't very vocally or openly patriotic, I was in the US in Feburary and a lot of the time the over displays of patriotism bothered me. In Australia it would be seen as being blind and arrogant. The idea of crying during a national anthem is unheard of and a lot of the TV and commerials made me cringe. For a forigner it was like seeing someone tell themselves how great they are. It's a very different culture. Also their coffee sucks, I had one really good coffee the rest was bad or mediocre.
Oh by the way, I dont mean to offend anyone, I'm just saying it how I saw it. Tall poppy syndrome and all that. I was wondering if anyone else thought similar things about other countries they visited. Wha they nostised different even when everyone spoke the same language (more or less, west coast people couldn't understand my accent >_> it's not even broard)

Is it true you guys eat Beets + Anchovies on pizza?
Or is that a myth?
Note: Yes, store coffee is HORRID. Most of the time its burnt.
And, I agree. Its disturbing and weird when people cry at the national anthem.

I am not a fan of the US. There are many, many reasons for this (not the least of which is my hatred of imperialism), but I'd rather not dig too far into it because it will develop into a very, very long rant that holds little meaning for others.
I'm too lazy (and perhaps realistic) to try to do anything about it, so I'll probably just leave before the rest of the world gets tired of us...

Fair enough. I disagree vehemently about the notion of imperialism, but if you are leaving in the future, Godspeed.

Beet slices (which we call beetroot) on hamburgers, not pizzas.
I notised in the US beetroot is really unusual. I saw it once with the weird forign food in the supermarket. It's really common here, have it with salads.
Anchovies on pizzas sometimes. Most people don't like them, it's not common.
Cafes here hire people with Barista qualifications the way bars hire people with bar tending qualifications. So the coffee is generally pretty good.

Yeah.. I haven't ever seen someone eat beetroot.. aside from a little bit at thanksgiving (which no one eats anyway. I don't even see why we leave it out.).
Your Cafes actually hire people with qualifications? XDDD Most people who work at Cafes in the US are either people who didn't go to college, people in college, people just graduating from college, or high schoolers working a part-time job. XD

Just out of curiosity, by the notion of imperialism do you mean the US practicing it or disliking it? (Not that it matters much either way, it was just a bit unclear. obviously my opinion's different anyway).
Anyway, yeah, it seems to me that if I don't like something, lazing around and complaining about it is more pathetic than productive, so why not just leave and have it not be my business since I'm not going to fix it anyway?
