I was thinking about non weak characters. Anything by IZUMI Kaneyoshi Yoshihara Yuki
Motomi Kyousuke Yokoyama Mayumi. None of their characters have a weak bone in their body. And Rappi Rangai and Lock On! are really good.

Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Club - she is only interested in sleeping and eating.
Yandere Kanojo - the girl is a delinquent leader and the boy is a honor roll student
Himitsu no Ai-chan - the girl is really boyish and stubborn
