Pretty much exactly what decisions was looking for.

In The Kidnapping of Minja Jo's Boyfriend the female lead is indeed a delinquent and agressive, same with Yanki-kun to Megane-chan.

Perhaps Gokusen would work for you? The female lead is the heir to a mafia family and the best fighter in the series. The romance is subtle, but still part of the plot. (Red Lion and Tokyo Crazy Paradise also feature women who are legendary fighters/former delinquents, but they aren't my favorite mangas.)

If you don't mind oneshots, in Dengeki Love Machine (a book of oneshots by the same writer of Perfect Girl Evolution/The Wallflower), there are a number of agressive females. The first story features a girl who is unable to keep her hands to herself around the guy she likes (to his shock and discomfort), then there's a story about a girl who begins protecting a popular guy from his fans after he gets hurt and is unable to do it for himself.

Also, in Hotarubi no Mori E (another collection of oneshots), the third story features a girl who vowed to become a ninja to protect the boy she likes. (He comes from a rich family and was almost kidnapped when they were children until the girl came along and saved him from the kidnappers).

Kawaii Oresama is awesome because it looks like the guy is going to be your typical overly-agressive, jerk of a love interest, but the girl turns out to be the agressor (leaving him to do all the blushing).

Most of YOSHIHARA Yuki's works feature a dominant female, save maybe for Chiyou Yo Hana Yo. Aisuru Hito features a triangle, but there's cheating of sort, so I'd say skip these two titles and dive happily into the rest (note: most are sexy comedies/smut/josei , but pretty good and funny ^^,, very different from -for instance- Mayu Shinjo's ones 🤢 . Sheherazade (one-shot) is a good pick to sample the mangaka's style; if you like that, I'd suggest trying Itadakimasu next, then Darling wa...

I've read Show Me the Money, Kurohime, Kodomo no Jikan (the loli is a bit of a turn-off, but it's really funny), Mirai Nikki, and one or two others.

Gokusen and Bitter Virgin were already on my "to read list" regardless of whether or not the girl can be considered dominant. Tokyo Crazy Paradise I've been reading.

I checked out Cynical Orange. Never had even heard of it and it looked interesting. I really liked it. Even though it seems like as of what's been translated so far the guy is the one trying to make her a notch in his belt, I have a feeling that he will fall in love with her long before she falls in love with him, if she does at all.

I didn't like Red Lion. The female seemed artificial and fake (as if she were pretending to be a typical bishounen with attitude problems, rather than a normal delinquent or a fighter) and her parents were like "be more girly and get a guy or else." That seemed like such an obvious plot device it's not funny. I couldn't stand reading it. For a girl who can figtht, I want soemone more like Major Motoko Kusanagi.

A couple recommendations had shounen-ai. I can tolerate seeing a little mixed in, but anything beyond the level of Fruits Basket or what I've seen in Ouran HS Host Club is too much.
