Why do Nations go to war?

why do nations go to war? coz people are easily manipulated by the bastards on top who either need something they can't get any other way or just have to many unused bullets...

one of the main causes was the fact that germany and italy had very few colonies (resources)...they were formed as states relatively late and didn't have the strategic position UK and france had.
also german people after the ww1 were defeated...their spirits and economy broke, you needed millions of DM to buy a piece of bread...so they were pretty much easy prey for a skillful manipulators who convinced them of racial superiority and all that rubbish.
so hitler used mass weapons production as one of the means to get german economy out of the deep hole it was in at the time...and then he needed to use the said weapons on someone...
why the war spread so far?
well in europe there were always those that were the underdogs and rushed to aid germany seeing it as means to gain freedom, land etc...
why did hitler targeted jews?
stories say he asked them (banks) for loans and they (probably seeing his works) rejected him...and what easy way to gain someone's property then by making them outcasts through new laws...and also the fact that he was deranged.

There are many possible reasons.
Nowadays we mostly fight for resources,
since it is no longer a fad to have an empire.

Not gonna bother with reasons of past empires/nations, but right now, in these modern times, oil companies and bitter old men are in control... go figure.

Sadly it seems natural resources might cause more wars soon with the lack of water in many areas.
