hi, i`m a young kid who loves old school anime, especially shounen anime. i remember running straight after school with my brothers when i was 5, to watch my favorite animes on toonami. i use to worship toonami, even during commercial breaks, i absolutely LOVED watching the promos [ remember them, like broken promise? ] the shows i loved were:

• outlaw star
• yuyu hakusho
• gundam wing
• sailor moon
• cyborg 009
• ronin warriors [ who didn`t yell "armor of the wildfire!" ]
• big o
• zoids
• rurouni kenshin
• dragonball z
• tenchi muyo
• igpx [ everyone hated it, i loved it ]
• blue submarine no.6

does anybody remember any other good shows?

and the promos were so cool! like broken promise [ if you haven`t seen it, you must! ]

but now, toonami sucks so much! the only good thing on there [ for me ] is one piece. and naruto runs toonami, and i hate naruto. but i still hear people saying "toonami now is sooo cool". am i the only one who remembers the good ol` toonami days? am i the only one who loves the good toonami days when i was just 6 years old?

The Outlaw star > Tenchi Muyo > Cowboy Bebop block was the best programming on any station. EVER.

I only watched it when it was classic. I had dish network when I was wee one, even though it wasn't allowed in Canada. Got rid of it while later and haven't watched it since. I remember most of those shows you mentioned. Good times, good times.

I know exactly what you mean. They actually had shows that didnt SUCK! and also, Outlaw star was adult swim, not toonami. Same iwth Big O

But yes, i agree, Old > new. In both cases.

I too, would run home(well, run inside) after school when i was 5ish just to watch ronin warriors. And yes, i admit, i screamed ARMOR OF WILDFIRE!!! a good fair share of times, and i still do, cause even now, Samurai troopers/Ronin warriors is Fucking awesome.

Sailor moon, i dont remember why i watched it, but i did. Outlaw star i remember watching that, Same with all of them. And i hated Igpx, but i couldnt stop watching it, same with Zoids. Also, BS06 i never got the chance to see.

I live in canada, and we don't have toonami, but it's not like we didn't have any of the anime you guys had. I still love the old stuff everything on our dub anime here in canada is just the mainstream stuff with nothing deep. They show:

Gundam Seed (destiny)
MAR
Naruto < which i hate "BELIEVE IT!"
Bleach
Death Note
Etc.

I'm not so sure exactly what else we have but its all pretty boring. Our version of your Toonami and Adult Swim is basically YTV/Bionix Bionix being the certain timeslot for these shows.

i was born in canada and was raised there [ back in the day ], and they didn`t have good anime like in america, i agree, but they show anime and anime movies that are rare and hard to find.

You can't mess with the classic man. Old Toonami was awesome! I remember Tenchi Muyo, I think that was one of the first anime I watched that got me into this whole anime/manga thing. Ofcourse, I'll be lying if I don't put DBZ in there, lol. They might be a bunch of screaming idiots.. but... HIS POWER LEVEL IS OVER 9000!! rofl

i loved the Classis Toonami...it was the best. DB, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, and Yu Yu Hakusho, and Zoids were the shit man...i loved them cuz they actually showed blood and stuff b4...but now they got crappy shows wit crappy fights wit no blood and stuff...jus look at Naruto..they killed the fighting on it...i dont like the new Toonami...well i dont watch it anymore now

Classics are good.
Though the designs bug me sometimes but whatever, they kick ass so I eventually forget about everything else. xD

I remembered catching episodes of Sailor Moon, rewatching Rurouni Kenshin and pacing through Gundam Wing though I didn't really understood the last show so well since I was just a kid back then but it's okay. xD

Edit: Well, more kid than now at least.
