Curse my luck (clumsiness) and continue with the work...

I swear at myself for letting this happen yet again, stick my burned hand/arm/foot/whatever under cold running water, and dash off to find some aloe vera lotion. That stuff really soothes burns. I might wrap the burn in a band-aid, depending on it's severity. Then I go back to cooking,

Curse, suck it for a moment and then carry on cooking. If it's really bad I might run it under cold water for a while or most often I somehow attache an ice cube to the area and just forget about it. I've burnt myself too many times to be bothered by it any more, lol. I've never been to casualty with a burn, not even when my mum accidentally spilt boiling gravy over my hand when I was 6. I have several scars from burns and scalds though since I never bother with the whole coldwater/cream/dressing thing. so my way probably isn't ideal, lol.

Put some toothpaste on the burn area on your skin, i know it's kinda weird.
But it works a lot of times for me.

Swear, shake and dance, then cook more.
Yep, verbatim.

I do the same thing, only add the cursing and the jumping, and the shimmying. Then get right back to business

Not necessarily - partly depends on how often people cook. I mean, if I injure myself one time out of ten cooking times, it's going to happen a lot more often if I'm cooking every day (which I generally am) than if I only cook on weekends.
Doesn't help that I'm usually dealing with three kids at the same time as I'm cooking, and often cooking several things at once. 🤣 😔

Yeah I agree, when I used to cook each night it happened a lot more than it does now that I hardly ever make anything.
I got burnt once at work (my part time job in mcD's XD)
I swore, ran to the tap and held it there for like, a min max, then put a plaster on it. I couldn't stay there for 15 mins could I? I had to get back on the tills!
It hurt like hell as well. Plaster did jack shit. I hoped that if I had it on tight it would numb the pain a bit. Nai nai.
If I was at home, i'd just run it under fairly cold water. Continue cooking then when it starts to hurt again, go back to the tap 🤣
I scream, then keep cooking.
I manage not to give myself any serious burns. They're just slight ones (as in, oh, my hand accidently touched the side of the pot burns). Nothing severe.

after working in a kitchen for the past 5 years one of the ebst things i've learned is oddly enough to put a tomato ont he burn. something int he acid prevents it from blistering not to mention a nice cool tomato feels rather nice after burning yourself.
