I find it verrrrryy funny that most girls now don't cook(I cook sometimes, but not a whole lot) and now you find more guys cooking lots of stuff than you find girls cooking xD

I'd go "SHIT." and then run to sink and run cold water over it.
LOL
Same.

Yeah that is my general reaction when I burn myself while doing anything (especially cooking though). I burn myself quite a lot actually, I guess that is the only thing I am really clumsy about.

i get out the burn ointment! 😀
Burn ointment and band aids have become my best friend over the years...
antidisestablishmentarianism...
And I know what it means, too

noo you're not. i don't cook either unless you count microwaveable stuff.
yeah when i burn myself i just say an assortment of curses, stare at the burn for awhile, then pour some cold water. i usually ice it if it turns a really bad colour (like...purple) and put some vaseline on it.

yeah...that's about all I cook, microwaveable stuff.
When I was 8 I tried to cook, I burnt myself so bad I still have that scar 😢
I think that's the reason I never go to the kitchen...but, there was that incident with the blender too 😐

Ah... I'm notorious for doing this. From hot grease, forgetting an oven mitt, spilling something boiling on me, dropping a hot skillet onto a foot... I can't cook without injurying myself one way or another. But usually, when I do happen to burn myself... the after result is - cussing up a storm so much that the words start to blend together into new words. And then just finishing what I was doing.
If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

That's what I would do as well. I've burned myself a couple of times and I'd say, "Shit," then my sister hears and says, "What?" I'd tell her nothing because I can't swear in front of children

The solution is simple.
Microwave.
We can worry about the health issues later. (;
Otherwise, I've tried toothpaste, soysauce, and aloe vera. I much prefer cold water since it's the closest, but toothpaste really works wonders! : O

Just wondering, can microwave cause cancer? 😕

it creates free radicals in food apparently. And that screws up your DNA.
But I think that's all a bunch of BS. Computer and TV screens have more chance of doing that than microwave.
What's the point of this topic anyway....when you burn yourself:
get the source of the heat off
put your burned place under cold water for 2-5 minutes
apply burn medications.
I heard somehwere olive oil is good for burns......or maybe it was something else

cold water, well, more like room temp water, i don't like it very cold
and plenty of profanity as well
apparently, microwave ovens do cause cancer, but now a days, doesn't everything?
