If it's just a small burn & not serious (for example, bumping one finger against the oven rack while putting cookies into the oven), I generally lick the burned spot & blow on it. Seems to "cool it off" pretty well. 😁

Ooohhh... as a kid, I spilled a whole kettle of boiling water onto my stomach. Yikes. There are still scars from the blisters there... heh. :/

But no, I haven't any experience with dealing with the burns... ugh. Or the pain. 🤢 ;

I don't cook much, and if i do burn myself while cooking, I just soak my finger in water then rap it. And keep on cooking.

I tend to ignore it most of the time, I do try to cool it off I guess, but over the years I have built up a much better tolerance for pain and somewhat enjoy the ability to be injured yet not care about the injury. Though if I started to blister I would be pretty pissed and probably do something about it. Most likely starting with a needle.

Although, I must admit, taking the extra hot grease and pouring it on peoples toes when they're annoying you is pretty fun.
