I like Suzuka. I think the problem it has, the impression it gives people, is all with the set up. And the set up is identical to a [certain] harem. And people just see and hate it and make conjecture based on that.

I don't totally blame them. If you don't see where the story is going or what kind of story its going to be, it's very easy to hate at first.

Why is it nobody mentioned Infinite Stratos? I think any title that issues personal combat suits -with power enough to have rewritten the map of strategic nuclear deterrence- to hormone driven brats for no reason other than to have gratuitous loli-mecha action, is automatically generic.

Let me sum up IS for everyone:

Girl asks him out. ----> He doesn't get it.
Girl undresses while he's >1m away -------> He doesn't get it.
Girl willingly enters the bath -ass naked- with him -------> He doesn't get it.
Girl shoves his hand down her blouse and forces him to fondle her -----> HE DOESN'T FUCKING GET IT.

I'm still waiting for "Girl rips off his pants and sucks his penis ------> He doesn't get it." ITS GOING TO HAPPEN.

God I hate IS.

And you can't really call Suzuka a harem when you name the manga after a love interest. Somewhat defeats the purpose. Gee, why don't I write a mystery novel with the title "The Maid is the Killer".
