I'm sorry but I had to answer this post. I don't think suzuka is at all a harem, cuz there's only like two girls who like him. The girl who joins in after 100 chapters doesn't count in my eyes. She just joins in and gives up just as fast. It's also not under the "generic" harem because they actually develop the relationship between him and suzuka (as annoying as it is).

The most generic harem I know is probably Rosario+Vampire.

[spoiler] In fact, the only character missing in it is the rival guy that should start attracting the female lead for an ending, but the second season looks to be more action than harem and I hope it stays that way (except the main guy should stop getting new powers)

dude forget about the rosario+vampire anime and get to reading the manga, its far more original than you think even though it has alot of harem elements in it the plot is still quite interesting to read..

Finally. This is the single most generic manga created, not just harem manga. Its just boring. Another one is Ai Yori Aoshi. Very cliched plot, although the author seems to have learnt from previous mistakes with Umi no Misaki, which is probobly one of the best Harem manga out there so i can't really whinge about it that much.

The person who does Maken-Ki also does H-Manga, so you can see why it's so poorly done.

Isn't a harem where there are alot of girls after the main guy, and he likes all of them? =.=
In Pastel, Mugi only loves the main girl(I forget her name...) and there arn't even that many girls going after him?

And Suzuka is DEFINITELY not a harem, nor is it GENERIC.

I would have to say that Mahou Sensei Negima is a generic harem... but it might be because I also hate Mahou Sensei Negima. How can a freakin' shotacon like him get those girls? After I struggled through the first couple chapters, I dropped it.

I wasted my time reading to-love-ru and nothing happened with any of the girls.

Most harem i read(i tend to drop them) has almost no romance in it, just baiting... so i'll just join the maken-ki followers. it's really generic >harem >romance >shounen manga. to-love-ru is another gem.

Asu no Yoichi!. It wasn't the worst cliches but I was bored out of my mind. Also ridiculous proportions.
